She married Roy Dean Vandivort on June 9, 1940, and to this union four chil- dren were born, Linda, Dean, Jim and Darrell. They made their home on a farm in the Rocky Branch community and she resided there until February 2017. She always enjoyed her life on the farm, looking out for the cows and helping others in need. Ruby worked at HD Lee Factory in Houston, Mo. She could hand quilt with the neatest of stitches and just recently lovingly hemmed a quilt that her daughter, Lin- da, had made. Ruby liked to keep her hands busy; she picked many black walnuts out to share with her family and friends. She for many years faith- fully attended New Hope Baptist Church at Solo, where she taught many Sunday school classes and helped in Bible school. She was always ready to share her strong faith. She passed away Dec. 10, 2017, at Lick- ing Park Manor in Lick- ing, Mo. Linda’s parents made their home in Raymond- ville when she was very young. Linda gradu- ated from Houston High School in 1970 and many of her classmates were still close friends. She married James Buchholz on Aug. 6, 1971, at the Ca- bool First Baptist Church and they celebrated 45 years of marriage togeth- er. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; an infant daugh- ter; and her parents. Linda accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age. Her faith was impor- tant. She loved having visitors and would holler out “Come on in, if you can get in!” when she heard a knock at the door. Most of the time she could be found at the kitchen table reading a book or sitting in the yard with the grandsons, dogs and chickens. She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. She enjoyed a good joke and was always telling stories, some true and some em- bellished. She was a keeper of tra- ditions and knowledge of older generations.
