The procedure used by A2K Technologies for Consulting Projects begins with a series of interactive workshops followed by a structured set of procedures. In following these procedures, we ensure that a thorough examination of the existing environment is undertaken to produce a clear high level goto business / design process model, which is then quantified in a structured execution plan or plans. We establish a Master Consulting Agreement to provide the commercial framework for the project or on-going engagement.

Program Plan (PP)The PP specifies the details on how the SD will be executed. Rendering the proposed solution as a series of discrete tasks enables the logistics of the overall project to be quantified in terms of resources and timeframes. This ties in with the commercial framework established in the MCA so that individual Task Orders can be assigned to the specific elements of the Program Plan.

ReportingA mature system of reporting and tracking milestones ensures that all parties are clear on progress with regular documenta-tion and or meetings.

Discovery Workshop (DW)A DW [or multiple] is undertaken to gather details on the current business / process, the impacted departments, details on current software and supporting IT architecture. This enables us to understand the eco-system so that a clear vision can be [jointly] established in terms of the goals and scope of the engagement/s. It is essentially a fact finding mission that is conducted onsite - the specifics of the discovery are then documented in a Solution Definition.

Solution Definition (SD)The SD provides clear and structured documentation from the findings of the Discovery Workshop so that appropriate Program Plan/s can be put in place to establish timelines, deliverables and cost. The scope of the Project is defined with details on the proposed solution based on relevant considerations and constraints. In presenting this document, we ensure that all parties are aligned with respect to understanding the goals and objectives of the project as well as the logic and assumptions used to craft the strategy and the subsequent Program Plan.
