Should Birth Control Be Legislated In Cambodia?

You know what global warming is, do you know why people live in poverty line? Well,

one of the major causes is overpopulation. Specifically, Cambodia is

a small country where population growth has been increased significantly since 1970s; the World

Bank reports at least 1.67% per year, population growth in Cambodia. The total population in

Cambodia was last recorded at 15.2 million in 2013 from 5.7 million in 1960. The results of this,

many Cambodian people live in poverty line. Therefore, it motivates me to do a

research specifying on how to fix this problem, and I then got a good suggestion to prosper

Cambodia. It is; passing the law of birth control in Cambodia.

To begin with, let me define, the birth control for you. Well, according to oxford

dictionary, birth control is about the practices of controlling number of children a person has by

using various methods of contraception. Questionably, how benefits of passing this law are?

Generally speaking, there will be three political benefits to passing birth control in Cambodia

such as; health benefits, environmental benefits, and economic benefits.

Firstly, health benefits, which is focusing on females, and children rather than males.

Specifically, Family Planning and Women's Health Organization reports on its

website that, uncontrollable birth

will associate with economic hardship, marital dissolution, poor child health and children

development. Female’s health issues, not mentioned in this report is also considered as

a problem. Bases

on the medical studies show that, the more females raise children, the higher chance that females

face health difficulties. Also, the more family has more children, the higher chance that

the children health will be worse and worse. Also, in this 21st century world, people have a lot of

work to do, so they have the less opportunity to take care of their children properly. As a

result, many new babies born are raised with unhealthy childhood physically, and mentally. Not

only females, but males, and children in the next generation will also be burden. And this

happens to many countries in the world, specifically Cambodian case.

Beyond of mother and children’ health, many of you may realize that Cambodia becomes

hotter and hotter from year to year. Does overpopulation associate with climate change in

Cambodia? Does it associate with birth control regulation? If so, what are the effects of this birth

control?

Yes, overpopulation relates to birth control, which is a major cause climate change. So,

birth control is very helpful for the world environment and Cambodia. Generally

speaking, the more people live on the universe, the more need of vehicles are used.

Additionally, the more vehicles will be used, the more gas pollutions exerted

to the atmosphere. As results, it would cause the acid raining, the flood, and other natural

disasters to the Cambodia, and also contribute partially to the climate changes. These are the hot

issues we are facing together.

Well, some of you may say that, only these two issues are not able to pass birth control

law. There is another main reason behind these two main effects, and that is economic benefits.

Cambodian citizens will benefit significantly according to the third factor of birth control

law. To support this argument, let’s think mathematically related to wealth distribution. Imagine

in two family have the same wealth, but one is a big family, and another

is a small family. If we divided the wealth equally

to each member, we understand that the members of the family which is smaller

will benefit much more than the bigger. Likewise, according to BDL Sports.net website claims

that if the family is big, mostly the parents may not be able to satisfy

their children financially and especially the educational supports, which is the most important

weapon to change the world.

All in all, I believe that the royal government of Cambodia should pass the law related

to birth control as soon as possible in order to reduce the poverty rate, improve

Cambodian economy, and strengthening educational support, which are very crucial to develop

Cambodia. Scientifically projection, the population in Cambodia would be projected to be more

about 30,000,000 people in 2060, twice as much as now, according to World Population Review.

Imagine what will happen to the trafficking issues in Phnom Penh, imagine how many people

live in poverty, how many people will be uneducated, how worse the economic condition is.
