4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

• I used new media technologies in many different ways during my construction and research, planning and evaluation stages, ranging from the websites on the internet, to programmes, cameras and social image sharing sites such as flickr.

4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

• Research When researching information for my media product I used wikipedia in order

to get more of an insight on how to write articles, this page became extremely useful to me and guided me though the writing stages http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Writing_better_articles. Another way in which I used websites for planning was by looking on www.portsmouth.co.uk this website helped me read articles online and see how they are laid out and always what sort of images they use. I also looked at various newspapers and read the articles and looked at the layout. This website http://www.imphotorepair.com/digitalcameratips.html also gave me various tips on how I should take my photos and advice on how to get a good picture.

4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

• Planning New media technologies helped me a great deal when it came to planning on how I’m doing to

make my media product. For example Microsoft Publisher was a key media technology because it enabled me to create flat plans and plan the layout of my newspaper. While planning I also decided to take lots of images for my media products and therefore needed someone where I could store my images instantly, therefore I created an account on flickr which is an image sharing site and uploaded all my images into that as I took them.

4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

• Construction I used many different new technologies in my construction stages, for example I used

my camera in order to take photographs. Another way in which I took photographs was on my smart phone because it enabled me to upload them to flickr account as soon as I’d taken the image as well as enabled me to Bluetooth the images straight to a computer. I also used InDesign in order to produce my newspaper as well as my poster. The video below explains what InDesgin is and some of the tools in which it has.

I also used Photoshop to enable me to crop photos.

• Evaluation

Another way in which I used many different media technologies was during my evaluation stages. For example I decided to blog everything I constructed on a site called blogger. This enabled me to evaluate my work as I created it and also for other people to see it an evaluate it. Each week I posted what I created and the positive and negative things as well as audience feedback. I also used Microsoft power point to create my final evaluation questions and then I added them to a site called ‘slideshare’ which enables you to share slide shows on the internet, by doing this I could directly link it to my blog so that it embedded the PowerPoint.
