ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROMOTION STRATEGYFORINDUSTRIES&BUILDINGSDEMprovidedassistancetoThailand'sDepartmentofEnergy Development and PromoCon to develop andimplementasetof innovaCvepilotprogrammesthatexpedite actual implementaCon of energy-efficiencyinvestments and projects. ENERGY AUDIT AND MANAGEMENT SCHEMEFORSMALL&MEDIUMENTERPRISESTheobjecCveofthisprojectwastodevelopanoutlineofanenergyauditandmanagementschemeforsmalland medium enterprises. The project included areview and evaluaCon of four pilot projects, all ofthemaimingatpromoCngenergyefficiencyinSME’s.Upon the review an energy audit, managementschemewas outlined. DescripCons of procedures forenergyauditswerepreparedaswellasguidelinesandmanuals on sekng up and implemenCng energymanagement systems. An appropriated subsidyscheme for the support of energy management inSME’swasprepared.DANCED(2000-2001)

COLLABORATIVE LABELLING AND APPLIANCESTANDARDSPROGRAMDEM provided assistance to CollaboraCve Labellingand Appliance Standards Program (CLASP) in theprovision of a training centre on energy efficiencystandards and labelling (S&L) harmonisaCon in theSouthAsiaRegion.CLASP(2003–2004)

EC-ASEANCOGENPROGRAMME(COGEN3)COGEN3 involved the promoCon and creaCon ofbusinessopportuniCesfortheuseofco-generaContogeneratepowerandheatusingbiomass,coalorgasasfuels. This was achieved through partnershipsbetween ASEAN industries and power producers,European equipment suppliers and a grantprogramme for implementaCon of Full ScaleDemonstraCon Project (FSDP). THEESCOMODELINSHORTESCOisabusinessmodelandacollaboraConbetweenaclient inneedofenergyrenovaConandacompanyimplemenCngtheenergysavingmeasures.The ESCO company will perform an audit of theclient’s buildings and offer energy savings measuresandtechnologiestobringdownenergyconsumpCon.TheclientwillpaytherenovaConthroughthesavingsmadeon the energybill and is therefore freeof anyrisk.The two partners agree to an Energy PerformanceContractinwhichtheenergysavingtargetsandacConplan is specified. The ESCO company will issue aguaranteefortheagreedreducConontheenergybill.

DEM have carried out energy analyses in 38 municipalbuildings. First phase was completed in 2012, theselected energy renovaCon work is expected tocommencein2013.In parallel with the energy renovaCon, DEM is carryingoutanumberofuserbehaviourcampaignsinschoolsanddaycarecentres, inordertoensuretheimprovementofenergy pracCces among the municipality’s children andadults.

ENERGY-SAVINGMEASURESFORBUILDINGSINMUNICIPALITYOFSKANDERBORG,DENMARKDEM have conducted energy analyses in 128 municipalbuildings, with a total of 340,000 m2. The findings andrecommendaConstoenergyrenovaConworkshavebeenapproved.TherenovaConworkwasiniCatedinthespringof 2012 and is expected to be completedby the endof2013.The investment is expected to reduce the energyconsumpCon in the renovated buildings with annualenergysavingof900,000Euro.

ENERGYMANAGEMENTINAARHUSUNIVERSITY,DENMARKIn 2012, DEMbegan to implement energymanagementthroughout Aarhus University, covering approx. 700,000m2and370employeesengagedinbuildingservices.DEMprovides theuniversitywith ablueprint for energymanagement policy and organizaCon of energymanagement work, as well as the mapping of energyusage and the necessary correcCve acCons. DEM alsoprovidestudentsandstaffwithconcretedirecCon,aswellas preparing campaign materials, energy managementreports,anddevelopingaprogramfortheannualenergyfesCval “SustainableWeeks”. Furthermore , a plan forstafftrainingwasdevised,andtheUniversity’sfirstgreenaccounCngreportwasconductedbyDEM.

ENERGYSAVINGSINMUNICIPALITYOFTOENDER,DENMARKInDecember2012,DEMenteredintoanagreementwiththeMunicipality of Toender to improve energy analysisandenergylabelingofthemunicipalbuildings.The first phase of the contract concerns the energyanalysis and energy labeling of approx. 200 properCeswithatotalfloorareainexcessof246,000m2, includingschools, administraCve buildings, sports centres,childcare and cultural insCtuCons. Phase 2 concerns thedesign and tendering of energy efficiency intervenConsforselectedproperCes.

ENERGYSAVINGSINBUILDINGSFORPOSTDENMARK,DENMARKDEM’s taskwasfirstly to formulate a strategy andgoalsfortherenovaConandsavingsofenergyinPostDenmarkhundreds of buildings across the country. Secondlytoanalysisaseriesofspecificbuildingswiththepurposeof idenCfying and designing energy-saving iniCaCves. SofartheselectedbuildingsarethePostterminalbuildinginCopenhagen(110,000m2),MailCenter inFrederiksværk,Mail CenterKøbmagergadeNakskovMail Center,Viborgand Brøndby. The buildings were analysed in order toidenCfysavingswithinthefocusareas:lighCng,waterandheaCng installaCons/ supply, venClaCon and buildingenvelope.

It sets out aframeworkofqualitaCvepublicspacesandthecondiConsforamixedurbanprogrammeof260,000m².TheprojectwillestablishanewdesCnaConintheregion,createnewcorrelaConsinthecityandaddauniqueinnercitydistrictin an apracCve mariCme environment.
