The McGladrey Classic: A World-Class Golf Experience The Davis Love Foundation, established in 2005 by PGA TOUR pro Davis Love III and his wife Robin, supports national and community-based programs that focus on children and their families. As part of its charitable works, the Foundation hosts The McGladrey Classic. Since its inception in 2010, the tournament has raised $900,000 for Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia and other charitable organizations. “Our Foundation is fortunate to be able to positively impact children and family charities through the dollars raised by The McGladrey Classic,” said Davis Love III. “It is our privilege to continue the PGA TOUR’s tradition of charitable giving.” About The Davis Love Foundation aking its debut on the PGA TOUR in 2010, The McGladrey Classic became an instant Seaside Tradition. Played in Georgia’s beautiful Golden Isles, the tournament showcases the area’s rich culture, history and legendary southern hospitality. The 2013 event, which is now part of the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup Series, is scheduled for November 4 - 10 at Sea Island Golf Club. Hosted by the foundation of Davis Love III, 20-time PGA TOUR winner, the event immediately became known for its exciting field strength when each year it drew several winners of the Majors – U.S. Open, The Open, The Masters and the PGA Championship. Local pros, including Zach Johnson, Jonathan Byrd, Matt Kuchar, Charles Howell III, Lucas Glover, Chris Kirk, Brian Harman and Harris English also enhance field strength. In addition to world-class golf, The McGladrey Classic includes a week packed with events such as Youth Day, a Wiffle Ball competition between PGA TOUR pros and their wives and a concert presented “Live Under the Oaks”.
