    A Wider Circle Fellowship Positions

    A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helpingindividuals and families lift themselves out of poverty. Each day A WiderCircle provides basic need items to families transitioning out of sheltersor simply living without lifes necessities. We also go into low-incomeschools and shelters to lead educational workshops on topics rangingfrom healthy self-esteem and stress management to resume writing andfinancial planning.

    A Wider Circle is currently seeking the following five fellows for a year-long position with a modest stipend, plus benefits. Fellows will work fivedays/week.

    Community Outreach Fellow : We are seeking (2) CommunityOutreach Fellows to build and help manage the organizations volunteerbase. Fellows will spend three days of each week out in the community,collecting and distributing basic need items, as well as speaking togroups about the work of A Wider Circle. Two days will be spent on-site

    at our Center for Community Service, assisting volunteer groups andplanning ways to increase connections in the community.

    IT Fellow: The A Wider Circle IT fellow will help maintain the A WiderCircle website, learn about and help manage a network, and helpoversee and trouble-shoot a searchable database. The fellow will alsooversee the technical aspects of A Wider Circles social networking (i.e.,

    Twitter, Facebook).

    Management Fellow: A Wider Circles management fellow will assist inthe recruitment, management, and evaluation of our staff, interns, and

    volunteers. S/he will also assist in the strategic planning of theorganization and help with general administrative and day-to-daymanagerial duties.

    Education Fellow: The education fellow at A Wider Circle will helpdevelop and implement the curriculum for our wellness and life skillsworkshops at low-income schools, shelters, and public housing facilities.S/he will also develop materials for our on-site Wellness Resource Center
