  • On-line control of consistency check consistency

Control-points will be built-in allowing the users to check their N-

    consistency

    budgets on internal consistency.

You can close the budget of a pool by adding a stock change:

    • Changing input or output• Close budget as stock changes• Let system ‘ignore’

    JRC-AL: 26.10.2010 – EPNB - Paris - 11

    • Let system ignore

  • Customization of NiNBs

The tool will flexibly allow the addition of (country-specific) N-fluxes. These additions will -if defined with sufficient detail and upon release by the administrator- be available also for subsequent N-budgets.

  • Exploitation

The tool will contain a reporting area, where the user can generate summary-tables, for example indicating the N-balance of specific sectors.

  • User-friendliness

→ In cooperation with the partners of the project transparency and user-friendlyness will be checked and improved (e.g. extensive use of 'mouse-over tips', a wiki-page, a discussion-forum or FAQ page or similar, whatever seems most appropriate)

→ (For users support there will be an online user-guide and a quick ticket system to send requests to the administrator.)

    JRC-AL: 26.10.2010 – EPNB - Paris - 14

  • Conclusion

→ The web-based tool will have advantages with respect to the excel tool

    • Interactive use of tool more userfriendly• No software incompatibility possible• No software-incompatibility possible• Flexibility vs. harmonization more transparent• Automatic dissemination, if wished

→ JRC is happy to contribute• Hosting of the tool• Supervision of its developmentp p• Contribution to, and assuring consistency with, guidelines

→ Involvement of countries or projects required• Feed-back during development• Ensure that web-tool fulfills requirements• Contract with web programmer
