“Thank you!”

I don’t know how to start,

But I’ll try to make art.

Our planet is full of air pollution

And we need to find an efficient solution.

Let’s all come together to help

Before it gets too late.

Too much smoking of cigarettes,

Too much driving of cars.

I wish there was no smoke in the sky,

Shadows blocking the sun over mountains so high,

Garbage in the seas,

Or plastic bags hanging in the trees.

If this is what you want the world to be,

Help make it pollution free.

There is no guarantee

About how easy this task will be.

It may take more work and more time,

But in the end our planet will be fine.

So, think about what you can do

Because, in the future, Earth will say: “Thank You!”

The tree commandments, according to the Tree

I am a tree, I provide shadow, Shelter and food, I am your friend. I do not seek war, for I’m rooted To the ground in which I struggle. You shall not kill a tree, Or never your soul will be free From Beelzebub’s death sea. You shall not idol yourself, For I live longer than you.

Do not plant me in vain, For I will only feel pain.

Remember my birth, Where it happened, and let

It remain clean, my earth.

You shall not take me down For fruit, for you are free

To take and kill your offspring hunger.

You shall not pollute my soil, Death sits on it, waiting every Fall to see my leaves boil, At the Winter hard cold envy. André Bazenga, Augusto Silva, Filipe Rodrigues, 12º10

C’mon humanity,

What are you doing to me?

I’m your home

And you treat me so badly.

My trees make you breathe fresh air, But you’re still destroying them,

Like you don’t even care.

But be aware! Because what you took for granted

One day will disappear, And the nature you know

May soon become just a memory.

All your greed and irresponsibility

Are polluting your world. You must be ozone friendly

And take care of your home.

Take care of the soil if you want to stay alive, Plant trees on it to help us survive.

I’ll do what I can for you, So help me… I need trees, I need you!

Money is not the philosophy

When the Earth is without trees

Feeding the machines of the factory

And spoiling out the seas

Plant a real tree,

And you will live naturally

Just as it should be

A Planet with harmony.

A war has started against CFC’s

And you have to choose your side

Whether sky killer or ozone friendly

Don’t leave your Nature aside.

With all the CO2 in the atmosphere

We urgently need more trees down here

We all hope for the best of all

So, to start, everyone should plant a tree on their hall

Everyone should help this cause,

No one can have a pause.

About trees, we can never have enough,

Because lives without them are really tough.

We can’t only use words,

Let us act, let’s plant trees all around the world.

LET’S PLANT TREES ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

I can’t damage a tree

Or pollute the air

Like a man without responsibility

You have to be fair

And, naturally treat Nature peacefully.

If you don’t take care

You will be punished seriously

So don’t you dare

To damage a tree

As it is an enemy.

If you want to save your life

Treat Nature as your wife

With humanity, responsibility,

Harmony and honestly

This is how you have to be.

Nuno Albino, Rodrigo Andrade, Afonso Vargas, 12º1

Arbor day

I wasn’t cut out for this,

As trees aren’t meant to be cut,

I’m sick of the human consumistic attitude

So much as the lumber mill needs more wood.

You can turn your back or you can plant a seed.

You can choose compassion over universal greed.

You’ve destroyed, consumed and killed

And now you’ve turned black the Earth’s lungs

Which were green and big and beautiful...

Now just join us.

Fight for the cause.

Together as one!

Together! Fierceful!
