Beginner Band
This scheme is open exclusively to Year 7 students who wish to learn and try out a new instrument at a fraction of the cost of individual instrumental tuition. Students receive an instrument and have group tuition on their chosen instrument and also meet as a whole band on Monday afternoons. The scheme runs throughout the entire academic year and requires a full commitment from all its members.

DRAMA School Production – Little Shop of Horrors
In early September we will be auditioning for the school musical: 'Little Shop of Horrors'. This will be a senior school production open to students in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13. Performances will be at the very beginning of February. There will be acting, singing, dancing, puppetry and backstage, technical, design opportunities – a perfect celebration of all things theatrical and musical at DC. Rehearsals will take place throughout the school week during different lunchtimes and after school slots. The number of rehearsals that you will need to attend will depend on your role in the production but it is likely to be a substantial commitment, so please bear this in mind when considering choosing activities for terms 1 and 2.
