Magic• Magic is the word that

promises us the entire world of mysterious and unexpected possibilities.

• One day many of us meet with the concept "magic", someone knows it from books about fantastic, the others - from films about magicians and wizards. But all of us desire only to believe in all those wonders that are created by magicians.

• You would disbelieve if it is reported that magic is actually something greater than a simple word from fairy-tales about wizards. Nowadays we often run into "magic" for different identities without knowing about it.

• Any scientist, who is oriented towards Marxism, will tell you that magic is the part of history, covered by the dust of eternity that modern sciences arise from ancient air-tight sciences such as chemistry, physics, mathematics.

• Our whole world is related to magic. There are a great number of enigmatic places on our Earth that remain a puzzle until now.

• Do you agree that there is something magic on them?

• I consider that the Bermuda Triangle is really one of these magic places.

I think that the best explanation that this is a mysterious place is in the following : I heard that there are lots of gas in this part of the ocean produced by the ocean and it can make ships sink and planes suddenly drop down from the sky. I’m not a scientist, but this explains many things to me. And once I saw a documentary film about it too. They interviewed local people about all the planes and ships that had disappeared and asked what their theories were. Some of them said that these accidents were connected with the electricity on planes, other insisted on visitors from other planets.

• Really some scientists put forward a version that the habitants of Venus want to colonize Earth and dug up under the layer of water in the district of the Bermudian triangle caves. They use them as a strong point. The pressure on the depth of 910 meters corresponds to atmospheric pressure on their planet. During the shuttle flights of aliens from Venus to Earth accidents with earth transport vehicles happen very often.

Famous peopleHarry Houdini

• The world’s most famous escape artist was Harry Houdini. He was born in Hungary in 1874 with the name Eric Weiss, but he changed his name and nationality after moving to America.

• For several years Houdini worked as a magician in a circus and was well known for his card tricks. Later he began to work as an escape artist and after 1900 he worked only in theatres and the open air.

• He was a gymnast and a champion in swimming. He knew a lot about locks and handcuffs. This meant that he could escape from some very strange places. His most exciting stage act was the ‘Water Torture Cell’. He was dropped in a large aquarium with his feet tied together and had to escape or drown. His assistants were ready to break the glass with axes but he was always able to escape.

• He died in an accident. To let people punch him in the stomach was the part of his act. They could do this without hurting him. But one day somebody punched him before he was ready. He died soon afterwards.

About myselfAbout myselfI’m Julia. I’m sixteen. I study in the 9th ‘А’

class because I like English. All our life is now connected with this language: business, study, job, tourism, etc.

I decided to choose this topic because all the magic attracts me. I read books, different encyclopedias, interesting articles about inexplicable phenomenons.
