Challenges…• Limited to part-time work (25 hrs./wk.) with good hourly pay ($20) rate
• Limited access to benefits
• Small local pool of applicants with lots of competition from other districts and vendors
• Training is extensive, lasting several weeks. Many times the first available road test is months out. We often lose potential drivers because they need a job right away, as opposed to in 3-4 months.
