A Simple Solution with Unparalleled Results
It is important to understand that clear aligner treatment is a
technique, not a product. There is a common misconception
that clear aligners are a “compromise” orthodontic appliance
that is only capable of minor tooth movement.
– Sandra Tai ‘Clear Aligner Technique’
Fabricated out of Zendura, a biocompatible thermoplastic. Smile
Shapers are virtually invisible, durable, and comfortable. All aligners are
expertly designed and created to ensure their precision and durability.
Patients are astonished by how seamlessly their aligners blend in with
their teeth and their life.
Three Patient-Specific Treatment PlansThe sequential aligners will gently shift teeth into alignment,
so every plan ends in a perfect smile.
THE ZENDURA STORY
Zendura is based on a superior polymer chemistry developed by Bay Materials more than a decade ago specifically to advance clear aligner therapy
technology. Today, Zendura is widely recognized as the benchmark for thermoplastic material for clear aligner treatment.
After supplying Align Technology with a first generation of material used for its Invisalign product, Bay Materials developed an entirely new generation
material: Zendura. Bay Materials began supplying Zendura to major companies for aligners and post-treatment retainers and eventually to
orthodontic labs, dental labs, orthodontists and dentists worldwide. Since 2010, over 3,400,000 sheets of Zendura have been sold to customers
including dental/orthodontic clinicians and laboratories in the USA, international distributors and laboratories as well as to companies producing
clear aligner appliances.
In addition, BayMat has produced and sold Zendura in roll format to larger aligner companies (domestic and international) sufficient to produce an
additional 7.5 million dental/orthodontic appliances.
After years of development, Bay Materials is launching an entirely new generation of clear aligner therapy with Zendura FLX. Zendura FLX was
specifically designed to answer the needs of clinicians and patients with improved tooth-moving properties while reducing the level of discomfort for
the patient during use.
Strength
The Zendura material's robust, rigid polyurethane (PU) system was developed specifically for aligner applications and
optimized to deliver the correct balance of key properties including strength, ductility, chemical resistance, clarity, and
stress relaxation resistance.
Stain Resistance
Dental appliances are frequently exposed to oils, coffee, staining agents in food and cleaning products such as toothpaste
and mouth wash. Such exposure can cause many plastics to yellow, stain and structurally deteriorate.
To demonstrate the staining resistance of Zendura materials, we perform a standardized "mustard stain" test. Parts are
immersed in mustard and placed in an oven at 37C for 24 hours. At the end of the mustard soak, Zendura A showed little
change in level of yellow color compared to competing orthodontic products. Zendura FLX demonstrates similar stain
resistance
Clarity
Zendura material begins life and ends life with excellent clarity and color stability because of its high optical
transmission and low staining tendencies, which creates a “crystal clear” appearance in the oral cavity.
Zendura material processing is managed with great care to ensure the highest level of optical clarity.
Easy Fabrication
Temperature, humidity, the thermoforming equipment, and the technician can all impact the success of producing a
quality appliance.
Zendura was designed with a broad processing window to reduce the risk of a poor thermoforming experience. This
includes a foil-barrier package to maintain the optimum moisture content.
The in-office manufacturing of Zendura material using positive-pressure forming system is fast and seamless. You
can turn over the manufacturing of Zendura within hours and know every single time the appliance will fit like a
glove.

How long does each treatment plan take?Every treatment is highly specified to each patient, but on average each aligner should be worn 20-22 hours a day with an average treatment of 6 months.
Is Smile Shapers available direct to the patient? No, because we firmly believe that dental check-ups are extremely important, especially during your alignment

impressions we will be able to create aligners with the utmost precision, so that your treatment will be as fast and
comfortable as possible.
