Students who choose to do Additional Math will be doing the Express Syllabus for Elementary Mathematics from Sec 3NA onwards as well.
In Sec 4NA, students will take only the ‘O’ Level Examination for Elementary Mathematics. In addition, they will take the ‘N’ Level Examination for Additional Mathematics.
If a student does well (i.e. A1 or A2) at the ‘O’ Level Examination for Elementary Mathematics, he/she does not need to take the ‘O’ Level Elementary Mathematics Examination at 5NA again.

Things to note:Entry Requirements
for progression to ITE and onwards
In general to enter a NITEC course, the minimum requirements are 3 GCE ‘N’ Passes.
Certain courses have specific requirements on subjects required, e.g.
- Pass in English is required for courses like ‘Service Skills’,
‘Attractions Operations’, etc.
- Pass in Mathematics AND Science is required for courses like
‘Applied Food Science’, ‘Chemical Process Technology’, etc.

Successful candidates who are offered a place in the JC and Poly MUST confirm ONLY 1 offer
They will be disqualified if they confirm offers from both JC & Poly
They will be guaranteed a place and do not need to compete with others during the JAE period after the O level results are released.
