++ A Rosegate Publication – February 2016 Birthday Dinner We will celebrate this month’s birthdays on Wednesday, February 10th @ 4:30 p.m. in the Rose Garden Inn. Residents with birthdays are welcome to invite friends and family to the dinner with a maximum of 5 guests. Please make your reservations by calling the receptionist on duty at 889-0100 no later than February 8 th . Meal cost is $6.50 per person. Raffle Baskets for Alzheimer’s This year we will be having raffles monthly for a gift basket. Tickets will be sold daily in the lobby and are 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. We ask that you help us raise money for the Alzheimer’s Assoc. by purchasing tickets. We will draw the winner during the birthday dinner each month. We thank you for your participation and wish you luck. Elect our 2016 Rosegate King & Queen Beginning on February 1 st in the lobby we will have a table set up so that you can nominate your favorite Rosegate resident for the honorable title of King & Queen. Voting forms will be available at the table, one vote per person if your name is not included on your voting form it will be discarded. Winners will be crowned at the Valentine dance on February 17 th . Valentine Party/Dance Wednesday, February 17 th @ 6:30 p.m. in the Rose Garden Inn. Last years winners, Dixie Ardelean, and Lloyd Jackson, will crown the new 2016 King and Queen of Rosegate. We will have live entertainment and light snacks. There are BAD people out in the world that want to take advantage of you and your good nature. If someone is knocking on your door and you don’t recognize their name or their face DO NOT LET THEM IN. No one from Rosegate will be at your door at night unless you have called for someone with your pendant. If someone is at your door we want you to PUSH YOUR PENDANT immediately so we can get out there and run them off the property. Please help us keep you safe. We are starting a new club called ROMEO (retired older men eating out) and each month we will be dining out for lunch with our ROMEO’s at a local restaurant. We hope you get involved with the other gentlemen in the community and get to know each other. You will be joined by one or more of our male staff members as an added bonus. This month you will be going to Hooter’s, the sign up sheets will be located in the trip binder in the lobby under the television. We have been notified by home office that the remodel in the dining room will be resuming very soon. We thank you for your patience while this project is completed. Saint Jude has changed their monthly mass to the third Wednesday of every month instead of Thursday. We hope this causes no conflicts and we still have the wonderful crowd we usually have. We will have a tea for the garden home ladies on February 24 th @ 2:00 p.m. in the garden home club house, if you would like to attend, please notify Tammy so that she may get you on the reservation list. Garden Home Day Trip – Tuesday, February 2nd @ 10:45 we will be dining at Red Lobster and then proceeding to the Indiana State Museum. We will tour the entire museum and enjoy the exhibits before we return home. Garden Home Chili Supper- Wednesday, February 3rd @ 3:30 p.m. in the garden home club house. Tammy will be cooking us a pot of chili with all the fixins. We are asking for a few volunteers to bring a 6 pack of root beer, if you haven’t contributed to our pitch-ins lately, now’s your chance. Sign up with Tammy to get on this list. Movie & Meal – Tuesday, February 9th, we will call on Monday the 8th to give you the time and title of the movie. Sign up in the lobby as you normally would for any trip and we will notify you with all the details the day before. Garden Home Mystery Lunch – Thursday, February 11th in the garden home club house. Call Ashleih at (317)513-6434 to make your reservation. ROMEO Luncheon – Tuesday, February 16th @ 10:45 a.m. you will be setting off for the inaugural luncheon at Hooters. Sign up in the transport book in the lobby to be included. Mystery Trip – Tuesday, February 23rd @ 10:00 a.m. we will load the bus for our monthly mystery trip. Where we’ll go, well I’m not telling but if you guess our destination you will earn a free lunch on Rosegate. We hope you will get your name on the trip sheet in the lobby soon.
