Preliminaries:

This ritual is best performed at Midnight, on your Day of Power [day of the week

when you were born though not necessarily your birthdate], and in a quiet and private

room. In the event that you cannot perform this ritual at and on the optimum time and

day, you may perform this ritual at a time and on a day of your own choice, but still in a

quiet and private room. It is best, though not required, to fast and avoid alcohol, meat,

and sex for at least 3 hours to at most 6 hours before performing this ritual. It is also

very helpful to take a cleansing bath before performing this ritual [regular bath ending

by pouring 7 dips of water from a pail with rock salt, raw Rose Quartz, and raw Black

Tourmaline, without rinsing]. Lastly, it is proper to wear a comfortable attire of an all-

white color, or of an all-personal favorite color throughout this ritual; wearing Crystals

is also helpful [wear your favorite crystal bracelet in your right wrist, and wear your

favorite crystal pendant, or a Moldavite pendant; limit your jewelry to only those that

you like wearing most].

Procedure:

1) Place the table at the center of the room, or, if not possible, near the East of the

room. You may place a chair near the table so that you could have a seat later on.

When you stand, you should be facing the table and the East. Cover the table with

the table cloth.

2) Place the candle (set upon the candle holder), matches, and the drinking glass w/

drinking water on the center of the table. [NOTE: Do not light the candle and the

incense yet! You may leave the light of the room open, but if you could dim the light,

Page 2: A Ritual for Cleansing Wand

do so; throughout the ritual, only the single candle at the center of the table should

be lit.] On the left side of the table, place the bowl w/ drinking water, rock salt,

incense, incense holder, singing bowl, and towel. Place the wand on the right side of

the table.

3) When everything is properly set, have a seat; you should be facing the table and the

East. Meditate for a short while, say 3 to 5 minutes. Just relax, calm your mind, and

focus your attention to the fact that you are going to do a very important and solemn

ritual. When you feel that you are ready, stand straight, and proceed with the rest of

this ritual.

4) Touch the forehead and say Draconem Magne Lucis5) Touch the chest/breast and say Dominus Ignis6) Touch the genitals and say Draconem Magne Interitus7) Touch the right shoulder and say Dominus Caeli8) Touch the left shoulder and say Dominus Terram9) Cross the arms together on the chest and say Dominus Aqua

10) Bow head and put right hand on the chest and say: Ave

Draconis

Raise your head a little, then raise your arms sideward, palms facing straight ahead [this is the Cross Posture]. Say respectfully: “

In fronte mei (In front of me) Dominus caeli (name of guardian dragon)

Mei a tergo (behind me)  …… dominus aqua (name of guardian dragon) Mei dexter (on my right) ……  dominus ignis (name of guardian dragon)

Ad mei sinistram (on my left) ……. Dominus Terram (name of guardian dragon)

11) Still maintaining the Cross Posture, lower your head, look below and say: “Below

me guards the steadfast Earth.”

12) Still maintaining the Cross Posture, raise your head, look above and say: “Above

me guards the steadfast Sky.”

13) Still maintaing the Cross Posture, look straight ahead and say: “For around me

shine the Archangels.”

Page 3: A Ritual for Cleansing Wand

14) Cross your arms by placing your left hand over your right shoulder, and your

right hand over your left shoulder. With all conviction, say: “And within me shines

God’s Everlasting Light!” Slowly lower your hands and place them at your side.

[NOTE: Steps 10-14 are collectively known as the Shield of Light.]

15) Perform the Cross of Light again.

16) Take with your right hand the drinking glass w/ drinking water and say: “I

elevate my consciousness.” Drink the water. Place the empty glass at the left side of

the table.

17) Take with your right hand a match and say: “And I invoke illumination to dawn

upon my soul.” Light the candle. Place the burnt matchstick at the left side of the

table.

18) Take with your right hand the wand. Feel its texture. See its color. Appreciate its

beauty. Still holding in with your right hand, say: “Mystic wand, having been carved

from the sacred Dignum wood, I acknowledge and respect your essence. I hold you

with respect equal to my respect for myself. Before you become a part of me and I a

part of you, I offer you to the Sacred Flame of Illumination, that you may be purified

by Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit accordingly.” Upon saying what must be said,

pass the tip of the wand through the flame of the candle at the center of the table

from right to left then left to right 3 times; do this quicly but solemnly, bearing in

mind to be careful so as not to burn the wand. Lay down the wand at the right side of

the table.

19) Upon doing so, strike with your right hand the singing bowl (but do not make it

resound or “sing”) 3 times. Set the singing bowl aside still at the left side of the

table.

20) Take with your right hand the rock salt, and before you combine it with the bowl

w/ drinking water, say: “Through Earth and Water.” Combine with your right hand

the rock salt with the drinking water by circling your hand in a clockwise direction in

the water to dissolve the rock salt. Dry your hand with the towel.

21) Take with your left hand the wand, and using your right hand, dip your hand in

the bowl of salt-water and wet the wand slowly as if washing it. As you do this, focus

your attention to the intention that you are cleansing the wand. Stop when you feel

that it is enough, then say with conviction: “You are cleansed and purified.” Dry the

wand and your hands with the towel. Lay down the wand at the right side of the

table, and the bowl and towel at the left side of the table.

Page 4: A Ritual for Cleansing Wand

22) Take with your right hand an incense stick, and before you light it through the

flame of the candle at the center of the table, say: “Through Air and Fire.”

23) With the lit incense stick at your right hand, take with your left hand the wand

and smudge/smoke the wand with incense. As you do this, focus your attention to the

intention that you are cleansing the wand. Stop when you feel that it is enough, then

say with conviction: “You are cleansed and purified.” Lay down the wand at the right

side of the table. Place the lit incense stick upon the incense holder and place the

holder at the left side of the table.

24) Take the singing bowl and place it in on the center of the table, between you and

the candle. Take with your left hand the wand and lay it down at the center of the

table between the singing bowl and the candle. Before you strike and make the bowl

resound, touch with your right hand the wand and say: “Cleansed and purified by

Earth, Water, Air, and Fire, now you pass through Spirit." Now get the striker of the

singing bowl.

25) Strike the bowl four times (left, down, right, up) then make it resound through a

counterclockwise direction. Stop when you feel that it is enough. Place the striker

inside the bowl, take with your right hand the wand then say with conviction: “You

are fully cleansed and fully purified.” Lay down the wand at the right side of the

table. Upon doing so, strike with your right hand the singing bowl (but do not make

it resound or “sing”) 3 times. Place the striker inside the bowl. Here ends the

cleansing part of this ritual.

26) To begin the consecration part of this ritual, perform the Fourfold Breath for 3

cycles. [NOTE: The Fourfold Breath is done by exhaling completely, then inhaling for

4 counts, then retaining the breath for 4 counts, then exhaling for 4 counts, and then

finally retaining the emptiness of the lungs for 4 counts; this is 1 cycle. Try to do

breathe in a relaxed manner; do not force your breath.]

27) Upon doing so, strike with your right hand the singing bowl (but do not make it

resound or “sing”) 7 times. Place the striker inside the bowl.

28) Take with your right hand the wand and say with utmost solemnity: “ I, [state

your full name], dedicate you oh Mystic Wand to the Light, through the Light, and

for the Light. I take you as an extension of my self, as a sacred representation of my

will and aspirations, and as a powerful instrument through which I may decree to the

Universe the manifestation of my desires. You and I are intertwined by my sacred

will. You are the blood of my blood, the bone of my bone, the flesh of my flesh, and

Page 5: A Ritual for Cleansing Wand

the spirit of my spirit. No other person may use you. No other person may know you.

No other person may desecrate you. I seal you with my light. I seal you with God’s

Everlasting Light. I seal you as mine. So be it. Amen. Aum [pronounced as “ome” like

the word ‘home’ without the ‘h’].”

29) Upon saying the words above, kiss the tip of the wand with great respect. Feel

the solemnity of the moment. Feel that in your right hand is a sacred instrument that

is made by and for you. Feel that what you hold is a very, very, very powerful tool

through which you can change what you want to change in your life. Dwell in this

feeling, this sense of “high”, for a few minutes.

30) When you feel that it is okay to end the consecration part of this ritual, lay down

with your right hand the wand at the right side of the table.

31) Upon doing so, strike with your right hand the singing bowl (but do not make it

resound or “sing”) 7 times. Place the striker inside the bowl. Here ends the

consecration part of this ritual.

[NOTE: Here ends the necessary steps to cleanse and consecrate a wand. Charging a

wand need not be carried out in a ritualistic setting, although there is an added benefit

when you charge a wand via rituals: it becomes easier for you to connect to your wand.

As it has been said, your wand is an extension of yourself. Charging yourself would also

charge your wand. The more you meditate and practice spiritual techniques, the more

your wand becomes stronger. As you meditate more with your wand, you will discover,

through intuition, many more ways to strengthen and charge your wand. The following

steps can be done as a continuation to this ritual, or during times when you wish to

charge your wand.]

32) Perform the Cross of Light, but instead of using your right hand to touch your

Chakras and shoulders, hold the wand and let its tip touch the respective areas.

33) Upon finishing, extend your arms above you to form a “V” shape with your arms

[this is the Charging Posture], then say: “Let the Divine Light descend.”

34) Remain in the Charging Posture as long as you want. While doing so, feel that

you are drawing powerful energy from the Universe through your left hand, and that

you are transferring such energy to your wand through your right hand. Feel the

flow of energy as strongly as possible.

35) When you’re done, repeat Step 32. Here ends the charging part of this ritual.
