NonviolenceWhat Is Nonviolence?Well, nonviolence is the process of being not violent. Some historians tell us that a term for nonviolence hasnt been coined yet, and that is 100% true. Despite many attempts by the great Mohandas Gandhi to popularize the term satyagraha, the term just never caught on, most likely because it doesnt just roll off your tongue like nonviolence does. Just try saying it, unless youre Brett Hunter, then just turn and stare at Mr. Sands like you always do during this class period when hes not watching you. But in all seriousness, nonviolence has completely changed our world, from stopping Jim Crow laws to freeing India from the British and even completely abolishing apartheid. It is a great tool to utilize, but only works if other people are willing to join the cause.
