1.4: Growing Up

Whilst pregnant, Monika decided to paint because it earns so much more money than fishing.

“Hi Zebulon!”

“Hey Dad. Your house is so nice!”

“Thanks, but it’s not big enough.”

A few hours later…

“AHHH BABY COMING BABY COMING BABUYBI CMOONH BABSFF SPDGPN LFANOD FNGN OFNGSDNANF lWHATDOIDO!!?!?!?!?”

Keep your hair on.

“I DUNNO WHAT TO DO. SHE WON’T EVEN LOOK AT ME!”

He finally shut up when James was born.

Unfortunately his crib had to go in a room full of Monika’s fish bowls.

Monika could not go back to fishing during the day because Harry was at work, so she kept painting.

(Among with other things too)

“Ugh, why do we have to look after babies? Shouldn’t we get a nanny to do all hard work and I just do the loving part?”

Luckily Harry got another promotion, so it was worth the staying at home!

For someone who has fairly high mechanical skill, Harry is pretty dumb. I don’t think putting your hands over the leak will fix it…

But hey! With Harry at home, Monika can FISH AGAIN! YAYYY! >.<

“Well hello there… My name is-”

“I’m married.”

“Fine then, Mrs I’m Married. Wait! Don’t go! You’re missing out on a great man! I have references!”

That night, it was Monika’s birthday. See those eyes? That’s what happens if you fish too much, kids.

The next day, it was also time for both Luke and James to grow up!

“Must… have… cake…”

James’s turn…

He got the opposite genes to Luke, with his dad’s red hair and mum’s brown eyes. He is so cute!

Luke takes after his father with the athletic trait.

Family fitness, woo!

Since Monika did Luke’s toddler skills, it was Harry’s turn to teach James to walk and talk.

But then he was left all on his own.

“Hey Luke, how was your first day at school?”

“Fine.”

“How was school?”

(side note: look at James in the background, aw)

“School is fine, but homework sucks.”

You’ll have to do that for the rest of your childhood and teenagerhood, so get used to it.

With all the birthdays this chapter, it was also Harry’s time to ‘mature’ into a fully-fledged adult.

“Am I still hot? Am I still hot? PLEASE say I’m still hot!”

“I am still sexaaay.”
