We are very grateful to Graham Brown of GPB Partners in Taree and to David Green and his family for donating the car that will make so many happy to be out and about in the Manning Valley community. I hardly want to mention the word but Christmas *(|:O)> is just around the corner! …and we are making Christmas Party Plans. So keep Saturday 3rd of December free so you can join us for Christmas Lunch at Club Old Bar and dance the day away to some rocking tunes from party band The Trapps and other talented musicians! Saturday 3 rd December is also International Day for People with Disability and also Rob’s birthday. This is the perfect day for celebrating all three great special occasions. Thanks to all who have completed and returned the Annual Consent Form that was mailed to you during the month. If you missed the form it was printed on mauve paper. If you need another copy sent to you please let us know, as we do need to have the form back from you to ensure our records are accurate, thanks! NDIS Pre Planning Resources We have added another resource to our pre-planning toolkit. This helpful booklet will assist in planning out your supports to ensure you are prepared for your LAC information gathering session. This adds to our NDIS INFO book that outlines the NDIS and the transition pathway. You can pick up a copy of both of these booklets at the office, or we can post or email them to you! We can arrange a pre-planning session with you, and those that provide support to you, to ensure you feel prepared for the NDIS planner meeting. We are here to help, so give us a call. Call in for a chat anytime, Cheers, Donna Ballard

  • In March we began introducing you to the About Inclusion Management Committee. This month we meet Committee Member: Mary Blackman Mary is our most longstanding member, having first joined the committee in 1996. She chose to join the committee because she saw that support was needed for this hard working group. Mary sees what

needs to be done, and says “you just have to go and do it.” Mary is one of those people that just keeps on doing. Her thorough approach and full knowledge of the disability sector sees her working hard to keep things going in the best interest of those living with disability. Mary speaks out about things when required, and is a strong advocate for our loal area. Mary was born in Sydney, then moved to Mendooran for farming, and after 20 years of marriage moved to Taree. Mary’s previous work is in Early Intervention, assisting in local schools, fundraising, and providing valuable words of wisdom on many local boards and committees.
