7 WEEKS BEFORE MOVING:

Sign your est imate andschedu le the off ic ia l  date

for your move

6 WEEKS BEFORE MOVING:

Change your address on accounts ,not ify fr iends and fami ly

members of the new address ,and a lert the U .S .  Posta l  Serv ice

of the change .

5 WEEKS BEFORE MOVING:

Go through a l l  of your th ingsand determine what you can se l l

and what you shou ld donatefor char ity .

4 WEEKS BEFORE MOVING:

Alert your mover of any changesand conf irm your move date

is st i l l  schedu led for thecorrect date and they haveeveryth ing requ ired of you .

3 WEEKS BEFORE MOVING:

Schedu le t ime to spend with fami lyand fr iends before you go .

Conf irm your trave l arrangements .Ca l l  ut i l i ty compan ies and

schedu le cance l lat ion dates .

2 WEEKS BEFORE MOVING:

Beg in packing everyth ing up ,espec ia l ly  i tems you won 't need

to use dur ing the next two weeks .The sooner you beg in ,

the  less stressed you wi l l  be .

1 WEEK BEFORE MOVING:

Check the ent ire  l i st above andmake sure you haven 't missed

anyth ing .  Beg in the c lean ing processand determine any  last-m inute f ixes

you may need to make .

1 DAY BEFORE YOUR MOVE:Set as ide the essent ia ls  in a

separate bag .  Keep severa l changesof c lothes with you  just  in case .Labe l a l l  of your boxes so you

know where they gowhen you arr ive to un load .

MOVING DAY:Superv ise the move and make sureeveryth ing  is  loaded proper ly and

in the order you need  i tems .Check with the dr iver and makesure he/she has your correct

address and contact  informat ion .
