A Pumpkin Story

Written and illustrated by Year 2

Eleven Year 2 children went for a walk one day.

They came across a huge pumpkin.

The pumpkin ran away.

Suddenly a man came running up to the children!

The man said, “Why are you just looking at the pumpkin?

CHASE IT!”

The children started to chase the pumpkin.

Some of the children stumbled and fell but the

pumpkin carried on rolling.

Then the pumpkin stopped in front of a huge pumpkin tree.

It started to sing:Oh pumpkin tree, Oh pumpkin tree,

How lovely are your pumpkins.

The children saw a door open in the tree trunk and the pumpkin went

inside.

Realising the song was actually a password, the children began to sing....

Inside was the most wonderful Halloween Party ever!
