REFUND POLICY Full refunds for classes of one or two sessions given up to one week prior to first session upon

request. No refunds the week class begins.

Tuition refunds for classes of three or more sessions will be given prior to the second meeting of class upon request, less a $5 service charge. We are unable to refund some fees. Refunds requested a week or more before the first class will receive a full refund.

Classes cancelled by Community Education will automatically entitle a student to a full refund.

Babysitting Safety (Age 11-15) The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. CABS stresses the priority to keep you and the children you care for safety. Babysitting is not just “watching” the children, but being responsible for their safety and well-being. When you are caring for a child, you are taking care of a parent(s) most prized possession. Program content from Health & Safety Institute. Driver’s Education (Age 15-17) ODOT Driver Ed class teaches lifetime skills proven to reduce crashes and save lives. For teens age 15-17 who complete and pass this course before their 18th birthday, the DMV will waive the driving skills test. Course includes 32-hours classroom and 12-hrs behind-the-wheel and observation time. Attendance is mandatory. $75 discount for free/reduced lunch participants (valid for students under 18-yrs of age). Through Kempo, students will develop their minds and bodies, bringing to both the qualities of balance, strength, flexibility, calm and a sense of clarity and well-being. No class 1/15 & 2/19.

provides opportunities and experiences that stimulate a child’s

physical, social, intellectual and emotional

development.

Structured activities including enrichment clubs, arts and crafts, literacy programs and homework

support are offered in order to develop social interaction,

teamwork and to build self-esteem.

Program times are 6:30am until school starts and from school

release until 6:00pm week days including in-service days

YMCA staff provide child escort from and to Eccles

Elementary before and after school.

Photography: Basic (Age 16-Adult) This is the first 2-hour introduction of the Advanced Photography class, an overview of how modern digital and film cameras function to create art. It’s a great place to start if you’re not really sure you want to take the time to develop your skills as a photographer. This course is not a prerequisite for the Advanced Photography course. AARP Smart Driver (Age 50-Over) Driver training program designed for senior drivers, although any student may enroll. Developed by AARP and approved by Dept. of Motor Vehicles. Fee $20; $15 with AARP card. Tuition is paid to the instructor the day of the class. Cross Country Ski Lesson & Tour (Age 18-Adult) For beginners and intermediates! Our destination will be Mt. Hood. We will take advantage of Mt. Hood’s weather patterns and either ski on the west side or east side depending on the best conditions. A stop will be made en route to rent ski equipment, cost not included, usually around $15. Introduction to Essential Oils (Age 18-Adult) Come learn the basics of essential oils! Topics include what essential oils are, the three methods of use (aromatic, topical and internal) and the benefits of using essential oils. iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation IRest is “Integrative”, healing unresolved issues and traumas of the body and mind, and “Restorative”, helping recognize “underlying peace of mind that is always present...” (iRest website). Others have found iRest to help decrease stress, anxiety, fear, depression, insomnia and pain, and to increase energy, confidence, joy and peace.
