There are many types of habitats like forest, rainforest, mountains, grasslands, desert, and even swamps.

Diet

This is a elephant eating grass. They also eat seeds, bark, leaves, branches and flowers.

Bodies Elephants use there tusks to peel off

bark.

FamiliesElephants live in families of four to ten females and their young.

The mother takes care of the babies and sometimes other moms do too.

Communicate

Elephants use there head, ears, and tail to communicate with other elephants.

Usually elephants can make sounds that can be heard quite

clearly.

Elephants can sense danger with it's floppy ears.

TrunksElephants use their trunks in many different ways. They lift heavy objects for example, a tree. They also they use it to breathe, make noise, smell, and wiggle. Elephant trunks have 40,000 muscles.

TuskElephants use there tusks to peel bark off trees and elephants dig holes with there tusks.

EndangeredElephants are endangered because people kill elephants for their tusks to make jewelry or pieces of art. This is against the law. People grow crops and destroy elephant habitats. People kill elephants for ivory to make piano keys.

TeethElephants have big teeth and have six sets of teeth.

Elephant memoryElephants remember their relatives even after being apart for years.

Did you know that some times when an elephant dies other elephants bury the elephant that died. This makes the sad.
