…..unfortunately, this is often the situation at night for businesses in North Sumatra, where there is a severe electricity supply shortage. During peak hours the voltage delivered by the grid drops significantly – in Panyabungan, from 220/240V to below 100V. Throughout the Province, many businesses cannot get connected to the grid - if their private generator fails, they are plunged into darkness

But its not only businesses that are affected – private homes are regularly browned out or blacked out too…

Sorik Marapi will help to change this situation. Geothermal power can reverse the supply/demand imbalance, and bring low cost, highly reliable, locally sourced energy to the Province
