What is a Neighbourhood Action Plan?

• Part of the Merton Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy which focuses on ‘bridging the gap’ between the East and the West of the borough

• Deriving from the national strategy ensuring that ‘no-one is disadvantaged by where they live’ more importantly that every individual has equal access to services such as good education, community safety, clean environment etc.

• 2 year action plan developed in partnership with local agencies and across council departments – project focused responding to issues on what residents would like to see improved in their area – ‘shaping your neighbourhood’
