Dear SPC Family,

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers…and day by day the LORD added to their number those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47

There is something thrilling about being all In. Whether it is work, sports, relationships, or a new interest, being all In means committing yourself to the point where joy and fear meet, where the pull of the past is not as strong as the exciting push of the future. There is nothing quite like it—being all In.

The same is true with our life of faith. To be all In with Jesus means that we are willing to risk and devote all that we have and are to this greater end. We saw this in the early church in Acts, who went all In for Jesus as part of the family of faith. In doing so, they grew, not just individually but as a body. And the world would never be the same.

With that in mind, I’d like to invite you and your family to prayerfully consider going “all IN” by making a financial commitment to the work God is doing at SPC. There has never been a more important time to be the church in Sammamish and the surrounding community. The world is coming to our doorstep—OUR DOORSTEP!—needing to see and experience Jesus Christ. The children and youth we are collectively raising are some of the most talented well-equipped in the world. By investing in them, we will affect the world for Jesus for generations to come. By leading our community in mission outreach, not only do we show the world who we belong to, but we go all IN like Jesus does, adventuring into the unknown out of love.

As you read through this narrative budget, I hope you catch the spirit of what SPC is all about and consider what you will be giving to support your church family and its vision. Commitment Sunday is on May 20.

All In with you,

Jeff LincicomeSenior Pastor

About ten years ago I decided to give to SPC willingly and joyfully as the Apostle Paul says we should. I know that the church can do more with my tithe than I would be able to on my own. I began to give at a hard time for myself financially, but God is always there for me in my leap of faith to give and I’ve never been without. The thought that my monthly money is going not only to help people in my own church, my own city, but also it’s going to aid causes all over the world and serve people in need—-it just gives me such a good feeling! I am grateful to God for all the gifts I have in this life and I am also grateful for all the good that SPC does with our gifts. - Laurel Zoppi

Growing up, church was mostly where you headed Sunday mornings... It was an integral part of our lives but also kind of “just that thing you did on Sunday”. SPC has held itself to a bolder vision. The engagement the church drives in the community - whether that be through youth and adult activities, mission work (both local and international), study groups and various education / learning opportunities - continues to help folks find a way to get up and get moving...way beyond a Sunday

morning. My wife Niya and I have found a number of ways to stay engaged and thoughtful about our faith and purpose through the encouragement and relationships we have built at SPC. And as we both grow through these experiences, we are constantly reminded that we are only stewards of what only God truly owns and has freely given. It is a blessing to be part of a church that is focused on a Mission Minded, Christ Centered identity and strives to rediscover that every day. It has made our faith more real.” - Santosh Thomas, Niya Abraham, and Ava

The purpose of this document is to give a summary of the major expense elements of our annual budget. For over 30 years, SPC has been a community founded on our vision to be a Christ Centered Mission Minded Family. The chart below shows our budget in terms of how your giving supports the ministries and vision of SPC. We are grateful for those who went all IN before us, making what we have at SPC possible. We are called to commit our own talents, time and treasure to be God’s church today, and to ensure that the generations after us will be able to carry it forward.

Worship remains at the core of who we are, the center of our life together. We come together each week to draw close to God, to be met in whatever joy or sorrow we are experiencing, be strengthened and encouraged. Our talented pastors and staff help lead gifted volunteers to create a sacred space where we are shaped by Jesus Christ and equipped to go out into the world as his beloved disciples. We give so that we have a vibrant worshipping life and community, where all have an opportunity to connect with God and with one another.* Includes: Staffing, worship supplies, special events, and AV/Tech.

Mission is at the heart of SPC’s identity. This year, not only will our mission dollars go to support ministry partners throughout the world, but will be used to equip the next generation of disciples by engaging them as Christ’s hands and feet. By supporting mission trips to Tijuana, working with refugees in Greece, growing our outreach to local immigrant communities through ESL, hosting dozens of community groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Young Life on our campus, and much more, we are making an impact for Jesus as we grow our church in compassion and care for others.* Includes: 7.5% of income, employer matching funds, staffing, program costs.

Very few places in our society include all generations in activities, fellowship, and intentional care. SPC is a truly multi-generational family, focused on appreciating the many ways we can learn from and care for each other. We invest heavily in our staff, deacons, Stephen Ministers, prayer groups, and care volunteers, equipping them to faithfully walk with people in times of struggle and need, living out Christ’s presence, grace and love in life-changing ways.* Includes: Staffing, program costs.

Discipleship is a lifelong journey that begins and ends with Jesus Christ. When we go all IN at SPC, we make it possible for kids and adults of all ages to understand, know, and engage in lives lived for God. As Sammamish and the surrounding area continues to have the highest percentage of residents 18 and younger, we are compelled to do our best for this age group especially, which is consistent with our over 30+ years of ministry as a church family, as well as grow our adults in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.* Includes: Staffing for Childrens, Youth, Adults, Glory Days Preschool, and program costs.

Our church facility is an incredible gift. It allows us to do ministry in amazing ways, including serving our church family as well as playing host to 25 different community groups throughout the year. While our recent building campaign will allow us to accomplish some serious upgrades to our facility, it still requires a regular investment to maintain our church family’s home. * Includes: Mortgage, insurance, property taxes, utilities, maintenance, repairs, and staffing.

• Over 1550 adults attended worship, recording their attendance with us. That is 1550+ people who have heard God’s Word proclaimed and experienced the joy of Christian fellowship.

• Over 360 children are on our roles, having participated in Childrens ministries. Those are 360 who are growing up having heard of Christ’s love and experienced the adventure of following him.

• Over 250 youth have been involved in our youth ministries at SPC. During a time in life that is precarious at best, we have the honor of loving, encouraging, and equipping the leaders of tomorrow to live for Christ.

• Over 1000 people were on our campus weekly, through SPC sponsored ministries as well as our community partners like AA, Young Life, Scouting, and the like. We are making an impact through our presence in our community.

• SPC won two different community awards for our service, commitment and investment. Our local partners such as LifeWire

(Domestic Violence Shelter), Providence Marionwood, and the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank rely on us to help them serve. What a privilege!

• We have sent over 300 people on mission. Whether it is serving meals with the Issaquah Meals Program, building houses in Tijuana, serving ESL students in our burgeoning on-campus program, or caring for refugees around the world in Greece, SPC are leaders in service on behalf of Christ in our community.

• We have provided aid and assistance to approximately 390 people in need, helping them with rent assistance, food, gas, and utilities. These are the hidden people in our midst who we get to serve with love. Hard to do on our own, but through SPC you are a part!

• We have financially supported 30 ministries and missionaries, who serve Christ both locally and around the world. They could not do what they do without our support. And we get to be a part!

BEYOND THE BUDGET Did you know that this year alone...
