A Mother's Lullaby (Poem)

1
Hush, little darling, Don't say a word. I shall not forget you, Do not be hurt. Hush little darling, Don't be afraid. I will keep you safe, Throughout your days. Hold on tight, For I won't let go, My little darling. You shall not feel, Unsafe and cold. I will be there, So dry your tears. Be not afraid, Of what shall not come. Hush little darling, Please, not a word. No one shall find you, In these darkened woods.

description

I can't remember when I wrote this... I believe it was when I was in grade 8 or 9.It could be taken as a lullaby sung to a child or baby by their mother.
