This is a true story of a serious incident that occurred during the time of Hurricane Rita in 2005.

I had a press release done for the book. Here is a picture of it.

Notice that in the press release I am dubbed by the doctors as being a “walking dead man”

Here I had a picture taken in Easter of 2008 in front of our house.

It’s been close to 3 years from the time of the surgery.

Here is a picture of me in my hospital bed was in.

I was in ICU for 18 days.

I look kind of spaced out because of all the morphine I was given.

I had a series of operations, including 1 to remove a cancerous tumor from the back of my head and another to install a shunt for hydrocephalus.

My wife ran in the Nike + 10K Human Race in Austin Texas, late August of 2008.

Here is a picture of Adriana and myself in front of the state capital in Austin.

After the operation I had to relearn many things, including how to walk again.

Here I am on one of my favorite parts of the day, my walk.

(The white belt is there to hold me if I would fall over.)

My 2nd operation involved removing a shunt that was put in place during my first operation. (The shunt was to remove fluid from my brain)

One miraculous thing was that I was never to live again without the shunt.

Here I show where the shunt was and the cut the doctors made to remove it.
