CONFERENCE PARTNERS

Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE)

MFEE is the local education fund that supports the Montclair Public Schools. Since 1991, this independent nonprofit has raised private dollars to empower students, teachers, and the Montclair community, with the overall goal of helping the district provide a high-quality education for all students.

MFEE’s core principle is that collaborative networks — between educators, families, and individuals, community groups, and local businesses — best contribute to the success of an educational community.

For more information, visit www.mfee.org.

Montclair Public Schools

The Montclair Public School District is dedicated to creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement that provides every child with a high quality, creative, innovative and challenging education, through a magnet system of integrated schools in which every school represents a strong, diverse and vibrant community of learners.

The district educates over 6,000 children, and it includes seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school. For more information, visit: www.montclair.k12.nj.us

Montclair Community Council for Young Children (MCCYC)

The MCCYC aims to create an environment where parents and caregivers come together with providers and other community members as active partners to identify and address issues that affect the health, education and safety of our children from pregnancy to 8 in Montclair. The council seeks broad engagement from all Montclair parents and works to develop parent leaders.

The council meets monthly and provides dinner and educational childcare at all meetings. For more information, contact Program for Parents Executive Director: [email protected].

This conference could not have been launched without the generous support of funders and sponsors. We are grateful for their dedication to our young children and their families.

Resource Guide for Families

We know that parenting our next generation of confident, curious, and compassionate citizens is the hardest job any of us will experience. We hope that this day will connect you to a new resource, a new idea, and a new parenting buddy that can make your parenting journey a little easier – or at least remind you that you are not taking this ride alone!

Consult this resource guide for information on schools, enrichment programs, health providers, and other resources. Contact information for all workshop presenters is also included so that you can reach out to them for additional support.
