Despite all of the challenges that we faced on the road to this production, we are proud to say we have arrived here, with our very unique interpreta-tion of Shakespeare’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM. This kicks off our exciting season concept - taking classic texts and applying new forms of exploration in order to crack them open. Elissa and her team have really dived into Shakespeare’s words and found some vibrant dance and design choices to create a very atmospheric show - I hope you find yourself transported into a very surreal realm!

Given our current events, GMT is going to be examining the rest of our schedule and may end up going on a different path than we initially intended for the rest of the year. Don’t fret! We have two very exciting projects com-ing up in the horizon once Midsummer closes. Local playwright and ‘theatri-cal scientist’ Ben Hoover will be translating Chehkov’s Three Sisters and directing this adaptation in a world premiere production, and we’re really excited to start playing with his take on the Russian playwright’s classic. We’re also going to be gathering a lot of viscerally captivating inspirations to prepare ourselves for a groundbreaking version of Antigone. Finally, I want to take this moment to once again thank everyone who has been a tremendous help in this last month or so. Given the challenge of finding a new production location and the work that went into getting this show properly set up in a new venue, we had an amazing cast and crew who worked diligently and patiently despite everything that was thrown at them. Also, we’re so blessed to be part of a theatre scene here in Baltimore that has been so supportive - whether its the venues that were quick in helping us out in our time of need, or the people who offered to lend an extra hand where they could. We really could not have done this without you!

LANCE BANKERDLance is thrilled to be making his debut with Glass Mind. For the past twenty five years he has had the opportunity to perform with a great many troupes throughout the Baltimore area, NYC, and abroad. Lance studied at Muhlenburg College and Trinity College London; and is a member of the Screen Actors’ Guild. As always, much love to his wife and the son they expect in December.

CORI DIOQUINOCori is thrilled to be working with Glass Mind again. She debuted with GMT as Yeh Shen in its March production of ADAPTING CINDERELLA. Her past productions also include EAT THE RUNT at Spotlighter’s The-ater, A CHORUS LINE at HCC’s Arts Collective (Connie) and TROJAN WOMEN 2.0 (Cassandra) which played at The Studio Theater for DC’s 2011 Fringe Festival. Thank you to my family and friends, most

especially Taylor and Sandi for encouraging and allowing me to inspire. And to this cast and crew – it’s truly been an honor to create with you all! Much love, Midsummer!

ELIZABETH GALUARDIis a founding member of Glass Mind and so excited to finally be playing one of her favorite characters in theatre. For the last three years, Liz has joined the company in its expedition to exciting new worlds .…through the lonely and barren tundra of Antarctica (by Carolyn Raship) to the deadly electronic world of the undead in Neighborhood 3:Requisition of

Doom (by Jennifer Haley), down into a Den of Thieves (by Stephen Adly Gurgis), and landing in ancient Egypt, China and a New York subway in Adapting Cinderella. But by far, this journey into the deep dark woods outside Shakespeare’s Athens has proved the most thrilling adventure of all. Thanks to Elissa and Sandra for all their wonderful guidance in the shadowy art of bewitchment.

SARAH FORD GORMANis the Associate Artistic Director here at Glass Mind Theatre. Previ-ous GMT credits include Maggie in Den of Thieves, the Busker/Fish/Horus in Adapting Cinderella and playwright for Sting (Brain-storm vol. 2) and And Underneath the Moon. She holds a BFA in Drama from Syracuse University and plans on going to Loyola MD next fall to pursue her MBA. Look for her next month at The Strand in Inexcusable Fantasies by Susan McCully.

MAXWELL R. HEATONis an alumni from St. Mary’s College of MD and is excited to be performing with Glass Mind in his second Baltimore piece, as he most recently h appeared in An Extraordinary Birth of Rabbits with the EMP Collective. He’s proud to recall that in no time at all with no other recourses but his own resources, with firm application and determination, he has made a fool of himself! With a B.A. in Theatre, Film, and Media Studies, Max has been volunteering for

freelance videographer, camera, and acting work in the DMV area, aside from clowning. Shout out to MALICE: The Webseries, Clown Cabaret, and Blue Sky Puppet Theater! HOGS BLADDER!

JUSTIN LAWSON ISETTis incredibly happy to be playing Snug with Glass Mind Theatre. Justin first appeared with GMT in Adapting Cinderella, where he played multiple takes on ‘Prince Charming’. He is a graduate of University of Maryland College Park’s Theatre Program. He likes to boogie.

C-MO MOLLOYis, thankfully, a Gemini and a 2010 graduate of McDaniel College with a Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Theatre Arts, making his Glass Mind debut. C-Mo works heavily with improvisational forms of life and the-atre, including The Comedy Pigs out of the MET Theatre in Frederick, the Maryland Playback Ensemble, as well as being a vastly interest-ing uncle. Credits include The Rocky Horror Show (Dr. Frank-N-Furter), Blood Wedding (Leonardo Felix) and work as a Cast Member in the Disney College Program. When he is not “invisible” he enjoys life,

learning to read, and warm cookies. Thanks to the cast, tech, Trifecta, and the GM crew for all their love. Special thanks to Elissa, Lee, Andrews, Lynn, Ms. Billie and the Autograph Playhouse group for giving this production a well-deserved home. A most special thanks to his beard for sticking with him. This is C-Mo’s first, and last, Shakespeare show.

JUSTIN JOHNSONis a graduate of Messiah College’s Theatre Program and has been performing in the Baltimore and Frederick area for the past two years. Most recent credits include: Hello Dolly!, The Merchant of Venice, The Eight Reindeer Monologues, and Tea and Sympathy. Many thanks to friends and family and this cast/crew for surviving everything we’ve gone through to get here!

KEVIN GRIFFIN MORENOKevin’s first foray into acting was in 2010, when he participated in staged readings of Peter Davis’ Undertow at the Strand Theater and the Kennedy Center. The following year, he appeared in Davis’ Asking Questions at Fells Point Corner Theater, also directed by Davis, and in Glass Mind Theatre’s Brainstorm festival. The founder of Potluck Storytelling (formerly Full Circle), Kevin has been a featured storyteller and speaker at the Stoop Storytelling Series, GMT’s 360 Storytelling events, Ignite Baltimore, and Baltimore UnWIREd. By day he is senior

program officer at the Baltimore Community Foundation, where he works on issues of public policy, diversity/inclusion, and the arts. He tweets @mobtownblues. During his brief association with GMT, Kevin has played an abusive father, jilted boyfriend, and grieving husband to Amy Parochetti charac-ters. As Egeus to her Hermia, he is thrilled to work with Amy to bring another horribly dysfunctional family relationship to the stage.

AMY PAROCHETTITrained in NYC at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy and New School University, Amy is a Maryland native who has fallen madly in love with the Baltimore theatre community since her return. Highlights and recent work – Film: Across The Universe (Puppeteer); Marcus Garlard: A Necessary Option (Allesandra Reese). Theater: The American Century (Woman) –MCTFA 2010 & ESTA 2010 Outstanding Achievement in Act-ing Award Winner; The Long Christmas Ride Home (Rebecca), Single Carrot Theatre; UB Emerging Voices 2012; Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), Romeo & Juliet (Juliet), Port Tobacco Players; GMT’s 2011

Brainstorm Vol. 2: Mixtape. In her third production of Midsummer, Amy is honored to be exploring a new role, completing the grand triumvirate of mechanical/fairy/lover. Amy’s most important thanks go to her extremely supportive husband & their 9 month old daughter, Honora, for rocking so hard & letting mom go play at the theatre so much!

ALEXANDER SCALLYis proud to take part in bringing Shakespeare to the Glass Mind world. A 2009 graduate of UMBC’s BFA Acting program, he is a founding mem-ber of Glass Mind Theatre and has served as Production Manager and various roles in each production. He will next appear in Apply Within, an original, monologue-based comedy to be featured in the Fragments multimedia series Oct 12-13 at Dionysus Bar & Lounge. Past GMT direct-ing credits: Brainstorm 1 (“Catch of the Day” ), Please Flag With Care, Brainstorm 3: Mind The Gap (“...Where Dinosaurs Are Kept”). GMT per-

formance credits: Antarctica, Mixtape, Den Of Thieves, Adapting Cinderella. Baltimore performance credits:Death of a Salesman (The Vagabond Players), ...Nice Things (Theatrical Mining Co.),Lysistrata (Run of the Mill), and A Good Brain Is Hard To Find (Spotlighters Theatre).

SARAH WEISSMANis Glass Mind’s Marketing Director and is thrilled to performing such a fun role, in Shakespeare nonetheless. She was last seen as the Mer-chant/Beggar in GMT’s Adapting Cinderella, where she was fortunate enough to showcase some of her own writing. Her premiere play (with co-writer Peter Blaine), Logan’s Ghosts, was performed in Glass Mind’s Brainstorm Festival. Sarah is an alum of Goucher College, where she re-ceived her BA with a major in English. Thanks to this wonderful cast, her GMT crew, Sandra, Elissa, her family, the generous Baltimore theatre scene and her insanely patient and loving boyfriend.

ELISSA GOETSCHIUSis making her GMT debut with Midsummer. Recent Baltimore projects include directing Night Sweats and A Brief Narrative of an Extraordinary Birth of Rabbits with the EMP Collective. In DC, she has developed and co-directed Reflections, a tour of short plays written by patients at St. Elizabeths Hospital, produced by Wandering Souls and her ongoing col-laboration with playwright Liz Maestri that includes development of the plays Sommersaulting, Tinderbox, and Fallbeil.

SANDRA C. ATKINSONhas a B.A. in Dance from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a M.A. in Dance (Education) from American University. Sandra is currently teaching at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD and American University in Washington, DC. Sandra is a company member of Next Reflex Dance Collective, and has also worked with Peter Dimuro, Jane Franklin Dance, Carla & Company at Dance Place, and Liz Lerman Dance Exchange. She has created works on the dancers of Equinox Dance Theatre, Next Reflex Dance Collective, City Ballet, and Montgomery College Dance Company. During the summer, Sandra teaches and choreographs for pre-professional dancers at City Ballet in Hagerstown, MD. Sandra is proud to be a 2012 Smithsonian Faculty Fellow, Dance Metro/DC Selection Panelist for the 2012 Awards, and Advisory Board member of REVISION Dance Collaborative. She is also on the Board of Director’s for Equinox Dance The-atre and Next Reflex Dance Collective. Sandra recently worked with Round House Theatre (Silver Spring, MD) and Imagination Stage (Bethesda, MD) as a Dance Instructor and Choreographer for musical theatre intensives. She is currently working on two new independent works for upcoming performance in the DC Metro area.

Recent non-theatre projects include the inaugural issue of 24 Magazine (twentyfourmagazine.com) and Layered Portraits, a mixed-media installation for the 24 Hour City Project first presented at the Intelligent Cities Conference. She has worked as a dramaturg at Portland Center Stage, Marin Theatre Company, Florida Stage, Rorschach Theatre, Forum Theatre, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company where she served as Literary Manager. She has also worked for Manhattan Theatre Club, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, studied at the British American Drama Academy, and holds a degree in English from Columbia University.

CHRIS ALLENhas been involved with various aspects of theater for over a decade now, gradually tran-sitioning from actor to techie in college and becoming a designer as a hobby/escape from his “real job”. He has had the opportunity to work on several different productions recently, including lighting design for The Things We Do, a night of three one-act plays for this year’s Baltimore Playwright’s Festival, and the Bal-timore Rock Opera Society’s most recent pro-duction, Valhella: The Ragnarokoperetta. Chris has had a lot of fun working with Shakespeare for the first time, and looks forward to work-ing on more projects in Baltimore in the coming months. He would like to thank all the theater people he has met, from all the different groups around the city, for always reminding him why it’s totally worth it to lose so much sleep for shows like this.

LYNN MORTONis thrilled to be helping support this production of Midsummer. Lynn is the Managing Director of Glass Mind Theatre, and a local theatre di-rector. Catch her next in Glass Mind’s produc-tions of 3Sisters (playing Natasha), and direct-ing an adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone in 2013. Directing credits include: The Things We Do..., Hammarskjöld, Sex & Desperation: A Lit-tle Something for Everyone (Spotlighters), And Underneath the Moon (Glass Mind), Watch: A Haunting (The Strand), AD for Rounding Third (Intiman) and Sweet Eros by Terrence McNally (Cornish). EMILY TOWNSENDreceived her MA in Theatre History and Perfor-mance Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she specialized in historical Shakespearean performance. She has worked as a teaching artist throughout the Washington met-ropolitan region, for organizations ranging from the Sitar Arts Center to the Shakespeare Theatre Company, where she also spent a season intern-ing in the Education Department. She is currently an Associate Artist in Education Outreach at In-terAct Story Theatre.
