Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not whatwe should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for uswith groanings which cannot be uttered.Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of theSpirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that loveGod, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1. WHO IS OUR HELPER?

The Holy Spirit of God is our helper

2. WHY DO WE NEED A HELPER?

Because we are (sick) infirmed.

3. HOW IS AN INFIRMITY A PROBLEM WITH OUR GOD?

God deserves the best. God demands the best. God demands perfect worshipand not just wishy washy prayer

Exo 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish , a male of the first year: ye shalltake it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; No manthat hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer theofferings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh tooffer the bread of his God.

(Lev 21:18-21)Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot,or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish .

1Pe 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

But you can't be without blemish, therefore you need a HELPER for your infirmities

INFIRMITY #1 -- for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:(we are ignorant of HIS perfect will)

INFIRMITY #2 -- asking AMISS

Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss , that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

INFIRMITY #4 - asking GOD to do some good thing for you - withoutdetermination to serve GOD the right way

a. we do not UTTER the groans which can not be utteredb. it is the SPIRIT's utterances which intercede for us, not ours
