A MESSAGE FROM YOUR MANAGERTHE H.P.C. CREDIT UNION’S 5th Annual Youth Appreciation Day was held on Wednesday, August 26th at our Branch Office. Our young members enjoyed a bounce house and lots of fun games, awesome face painting and prizes. Congratulations to Brianna Cooper, Kiersten Wirgau and Brittany Mischloney who each won a $100 VISA Gift Card and a Back Pack filled with back to school items.

IT’S GETTING CLOSE TO THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN when we all begin to think about that jolly fellow in the red suit. Christmas Club accounts will automatically post to your share draft account on October 1st. For those members who do not have a draft account, the Christmas Club monies will be automatically posted to your regular share account.

FOR ALL MEMBERS WITH MORTGAGE LOANS – please be sure to furnish the Credit Union with a copy of your paid tax receipt. Providing the Credit Union with paid receipts will eliminate the fee charged when the Credit Union has to obtain this information.

WAKE UP THOSE SLEEPING ACCOUNTS – State law requires that inactive accounts (5 years or more) be escheated to the State of Michigan. If you or a family member have an inactive account, check with us to make sure the account is not in jeopardy of being sent off to the State of Michigan. A small deposit will activate your account for another five years and you will avoid the hassle of retrieving your funds.

CONGRATULATIONS TO Wally Sauer who won the trip for two to Hawaii donated by the Credit Union’s of Alpena. Each Credit Union drew two names from entry forms that were distributed during the concerts. H.P.C. Credit Union sent members Jerry Dean and Susan Heath to try their luck at winning the trip. Even though their suitcases did not win, they both enjoyed the concerts and had fun trying to win the trip.
