As Chief Executive Officer of Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC), I would like to express our Agency’s deepest apprecia- tion for Delaware County’s tremendous response to our annual Holiday Appeal. Thanks to the participation of over 80 volunteers and $14,000 in contributions of cash and food donations, 600 meals were provided on Thanksgiving 2014. During the Christmas holiday, over 1,200 needy children received toys/gifts valued at over $155,000. This effort was made possible by more than 75 volunteers, 70 personal contributors, and 78 churches/schools/business/corporate sponsorships including 44 businesses that hosted holiday gift barrels. All donations stay in Delaware County and 100% of funds collected go directly to the needy. It was gratifying to see that even in these very difficult economic times, the residents and businesses of Delaware County came through to ensure a happy holiday season for their less fortunate neighbors. As we face record cold temperatures over the next few weeks, please remember we need your support for those families and seniors who find themselves without heat. We especially need your support to keep our three emergency homeless shelter facilities operating. If you would like to make a general contribution or donate to the Save Our Shelters (S.O.S.) Campaign please makes checks payable to Communi- ty Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (designate S.O.S. on the note line if for the shelters) and mail to CAADC, Government Center, 201 W. Front Street, Media, PA 19063. You may also go on the CAADC website at www.caadc.org and click on the Donate button. Thank you again to the residents and businesses of Delaware County. Sincerely, Edward T. Coleman, Chief Executive Officer A MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
