A message from Fr. Dan The Carrying of a Cross is not a relatively good “marketing” strategy in this day and age. Perhaps “Walking with the Lord” or being a “Companion on a journey” or being a “Seeker” illicit a more posi-tive “feeling.” Yet with maturity we come to real-ize this enduring and everlasting truth that life is not always easy nor even kind. At times it is extremely cruel and devastating. Enter the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He gives us the Correct Response to both Physical Pain and Emotional Suffering! As we focus on His Example we can learn these life lessons that life is transitory and Christ is eternal! NEW PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL MEMBERS Our new council members are: Linda Distlehorst, Thomas Hafel, William Hurley, Richard Koerper, Ruth Lewis, Edward McDowall, Michael Mueller, Linda Mueller, Annette Nelson, John Patton, Andrew Ramage, Jane Snyder and 1 alternate, Ellen Bartletti Congratulations to our new council. ANNUAL CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL Soon each parish family will be receiving a letter from Bishop Paprocki asking for support of our larger diocesan church. The annual appeal assessment for St. Agnes Church this year is $120,554. Each family is asked to prayerfully consider donating 1% of our income to this worthy cause. As the Pastor I will personally donate 1% or $300 and invite each St. Agnes Parish family to prayerfully consider similar support. Thank you for your generosity. Please note the ACSA chart on the Generosity page of this bulletin. SCHOOL VISITS It is with much joy that I have begun classroom visits in our parish school. The 1st and 3rd Wednesdays I visit K-5th grades. The 2nd and 4th Wednesdays I visit the 6-8th grades. I’m learning quite a bit from our students already! HELP WANTED: We need more members for the FINANCE COUNCIL, BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE, THE CHURCH SOUND SYSTEM COMMITTEE. Please email me if you can assist with these important parish life groups. PASTOR’S EMAIL ADDRESS My email address is: [email protected] This is the very best way to get in touch with me. Again, please feel free to use this as the primary contact to help guide and support our parish family and me. Any and all gentle recommen-dations and insights are most welcomed. MINISTRY TRAINING We are in the process of establishing annual train-ing for Lectors, Ushers, Greeters, Eucharistic Ministers for Mass and Home-bound and Servers. Watch this bulletin for more details. WEEKLY STAFF MEETINGS Each Thursday afternoon for one hour the Parish staff gathers to compare notes and work together to move our Parish ministries forward in a coordinated and constructive manner. What a bless-ing this staff is for our parish family!

May the Holy Spirit continue to bless St. Agnes Parish!

“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after

me cannot be my disciple.”

May the Holy Spirit continue to bless St. Agnes Parish!

“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after

me cannot be my disciple.”
