LAST WEEKFRIDAY 31 JAN2UARY 2020 Knox County Clerk SHERRY WITT explained Tennessee Real I.D. THIS WEEK FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2020We welcome TRACY VAN de VATE from the Knoxville – Knox County Community Action Committee (CAC) Office on Aging. Grandparents as Parents Program. In our community some 3,000 children are being raised by someone other than their parents – often it is their “grand”. TRACY will discuss the resources available to families as well as some of the challenges and benefits of raising grandchildren. Often these family members are all that stands between the children and the Department of Children Services.
Invite a friend and learn what is causing this phenomenon.
NEXT WEEK FRIDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2020Sweets for the Sweetest Dessert Auction. Please invite your significant other to join you for this special program. It began as a way to raise funds to support a new initiative. To honor the memory of

TO be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
TO talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
TO make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
TO look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
TO think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
TO be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
TO forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
TO wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
TO give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
TO be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
Christian D. Larson
