The barwell VibraCool is a space and time saving spiral cooling conveyor that has been specificallydeveloped for the effective cooling, separation anddrying of hot rubber parts produced on a Barwell preformer or extruder.

barwell VibraCool Operation

How does the VibraCool work?Hot rubber parts feed into the VibraCool (whichacts as a spiral elevator) enabling rubber parts totravel over 40m in distance – upwards rather thanin a straight line – using perpetual vibratory motion.The cooling process can be enhanced by the spraying of water or the blasting of air.

The rubber parts then leave via a top exit chute intostorage containers or to a subsequent productionprocess.

Why choose the barwell VibraCool?

Improves product quality and reduces rejectsThe unique perpetual vibrational motion prevents partsfrom sticking together, helping to enhance productquality and significantly reducerejects. The risk is also minimised using the targeted spraying ofwater onto the hotrubber throughoutthe cycle to aid thecooling process. The use of air jets canalso reduce the surfacetemperature of the rubber and increase drying speed.

When water cannot be used, a chiller unit is availableto blow very cold air onto the rubber parts for rapidand effective cooling.

Saves factory space and maximises productionThe compact design of the VibraCool means that hotrubber parts are transported over a distance of 40m in only a 1m sq. (approx.) footprint saving valuablefactory floor space.

The features of the VibraCool speeds up the productionprocess, as drying and cooling time are significantlyreduced compared to other conveyor systems.

Ease of operation and reduced downtimeThe simple design of the VibraCool allows for easyinstallation, operation and maintenance, enabling optimum usage. Its robust construction and simplicitykeeps potential downtime to a minimum, ensuringproduction is maintained.

Curved VibraCoolIdeal for most general rubber applications includingsmall to medium size solid preforms, pellets and strips.It cools using water and air. A variable speed controllerallows larger items to travel at reduced speed forextra cooling.

It is not suitablefor small thin preforms as theycan stick to thesmooth internalflight surface (use the Flat Corrugated VibraCoolinstead). It alsodoes not facilitate chilledair cooling.

Flat Corrugated VibraCoolThis option is designed with flat corrugated flights sothat the amount of fusion between small pellets orblanks and the surface is significantly reduced to avoidrubber to flight surface sticking.

It is recommendedspecifically for ‘O’ring production,but can also beused effectivelyfor small tomedium sizesolids, pellets andstrip or chord extrusion. It issuitable for chilledair cooling as it issurrounded by apolycarbonatecover. A variablespeed controllerfacilitates theslowing of thecooling process forlarger items.

Bowl VibraCoolThe Bowl VibraCool is supplied with an extra large capacity fluid reservoir that assists in the cooling andseparation of larger preforms e.g. shoe soles, enginemounts and others that need additional cooling. It canalso be used for most general applications.

It is mounted to a robust frame with wheels making iteasy to transport in the factory providing flexibility.
