• There is still conflict between different groups of people including the government and tribal groups.
• The groups are fighting over natural resources and land.
• In August 2008 there was fighting between rebel tribal groups and the government, causing a large number of people to flee from their homes.
• There are now an estimated 250 000 displaced people living in refugee camps.
