Theres a few signicant changes, one of which is to have more mandatory

ourselves, that students coming to us will, we can be certain, have similar
levels of knowledge skills and understanding in similar areas.

Grading accurately reects students' performanceand achievements
Each BTEC Nationals unit is individually graded (Pass, Merit, Distinction)
and contributes towards a learner's nal qualication grade. Each unit
contributes points proportionally to the overall grade. This allows students
to gain recognition for strong performance in areas they excel.
A learner's nal grade is decided by their performance across the
qualication, based on a combined total of points earned from
assessments. However, students need to pass most (and in some cases,
all) mandatory content to remain eligible for an overall qualication pass.
