“No Stopping” zones are created to address safety or roadway capacity concerns. Stopping, even for a moment to pick up /drop o passengers or goods, is prohibited - except when required to avoid conict with other trac or if directed by a police ocer or trac control device.

This also applies to designated “rush routes” that may contain parking meters.

Fire routes provide access during emergencies; therefore, they must remain clear. No parking is allowed in any part of a re route.

Do NOT leave your vehicle unattended.

Parking is prohibited in front of a re hydrant or within two meters on either side of a re hydrant. If the re hydrant is set back from the edge of the road then its location is projected to the edge of the road.

Parking is an integral part of traveling for many persons with disabilities. It is a means of opening up access to a community. If parking is not available it can result in the person not being able to work, shop or visit the hospital or their doctor.

Accessible parking spots are for holders of valid accessible parking passes only. Parking or stopping is not permitted in these spots unless the vehicle contains a person with physical disabilities and a clearly displayed original accessible parking permit.

Holders of valid accessible parking permits may park at any on-street meter, without depositing coinage, for up to the time limit of the meter as posted. Permit holders may also park in any City-owned o-street parking lot (in designated spaces) for a daily maximum of two hours free of charge.

No person shall park any part of a vehicle for longer than the posted time within the same calendar day in the same block.

Limit begins when space rst occupied on the block. To ensure compliance, drivers who leave and return to the same zone must nd parking in a dierent block.

It is prohibited to park with a vehicle’s left side to the curb. Right front and rear vehicles wheels must be no more than 0.3 meters from the right-hand edge of the roadway.

The above does not apply where angle parking is authorized or on one-way streets.

Parking in the centre of a cul-de-sac or facing the wrong way is prohibited.

Where angle parking is permitted, the entire vehicle must be within the pavement marking limits. If no pavement markings are visible the angle of the vehicle must not exceed 60 degrees with the permitted direction of travel; and in all cases the front end of the vehicle must be nearest to the curb or the edge of the roadway.

Holders of valid Ontario veteran’s vehicle licence plates may park at any on-street meter, without depositing funds, for up to the time limit of the meter as posted or in any City-owned o-street parking lot for a daily maximum of two hours free of charge.

Parking in residential parking pass zones is restricted to pass holders only during the days and times as posted.

Parking is prohibited on all City streets, parking bays and shoulders between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. except for automobiles and motorcycles from Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day, unless posted otherwise. Signs are located at all major entrances to the city.

Overnight Parking Passes may be obtained for parking between Labour Day and Victoria Day. Visit london.ca for more details.

No person shall park any part of a vehicle for longer than 12 hours on any roadway or shoulder.

Parking is prohibited, even when the vehicle is occupied, unless you are actively engaged in the loading or unloading of merchandise or passengers. Drivers are NOT allowed to wait for their passengers while in a “no parking” zone.

Parking is prohibited in designated loading zones unless vehicles are being actively loaded or unloaded.
