COST: The cost share that residents are required to provide will range from 30-50% of the cost to replace the sidewalk. The share that residents need to provide will depend on their residential location. If the property is located in a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) area, as designated by the Federal Government, residents may qualify for the City

paying 70% of the total cost of repair. An example of the required match amounts are shown below:

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS:

2. Citizen agrees to estimated cost share amount.

1. Citizen calls 311 to request Sidewalk Cost Sharing Program. 311 operator assists citizen in completing application.

3. TCI engineering staff completes field assessment and develops a detailed cost estimate within 10 days.

5. If the citizen accepts, payment must be submitted before the project is added to the project list.

7. All requests received will be completed within the Fiscal Year.

4. An invoice will be mailed to the citizen and has 15 days to accept or reject.

6. Once payment is received, the sidewalk will be added to the project list and scheduled for construction.
