Register as a Voter

• Your Name in The Electoral Roll of Your Constituency is Compulsory if you want to cast your vote.

• One could Visit www.eci.nic.in and apply for inclusion of name online.

• You could also visit your State CEO site for Online Voter Registration.

Form Required:- Voter Form No. 6 For Inclusion of Name into the electoral roll.

Already Registered?

• If you already registered your name into the electoral roll of your constituency then you are eligible for Voting.

• Still there is no harm in re-checking the Voters List for your name.

• This is equired for the fact that you must make sure that your Voter Details are Correct and Up-To-Date

• You could access the voters list from www.eci.nic.in or simply visit your state's CEO website.

Mistakes in Voter Details?

• While checking your name in the voters list if you find out that there are mistakes in your voter details, you must then immediately fill Form No. 8.

• You can visit www.eci.nic .in to correct your voter details.

At the Polling Booth• Once you have your updated name in the

electoral roll, you are eligible to vote at your stipulated Polling Booth.

• You would have to prove your identity in front of the polling officer.

• You could use your Voter ID Card for that use.• if you have lost or mistakenly damaged your

voter id card, you could use the voter slip issued to you before the election day to verify your identity.

• Any other legitimate identity document could alsobe used for that purpose, provided it is issued by Govt. authorities.
