Appraisal – Appraisals are professional evaluations of the fair market value of the property being purchased.

ARM – Adjustable Rate Mortgage – ARMs are mortgages that have an initial low rate of the interest that is fixed for the first 2 or 3 years of the loan, which can then fluctuate with current market rates after that period.

Assumable Mortgage – An assumable mortgage can be taken over by a new buyer instead of acquiring a new mortgage.
