Hi, My name is Gary White. I am from Nyngan NSW Australia. I work as a Contract Stockman which involves all facets of stock work i.e. mustering, droving, drafting, blacklining, tagging, lamb marking, mouthing, penning up, load- ing trucks etc. I have a team of Kelpies which I class as all-rounders, meaning they can do whatever stock work is required. My father founded “White’s Kelpie Stud” in the early sixties which makes it one of the longest running Kelpie Studs in the world. My hobby is dog trialing which is a great tester for my dogs. Even though I attend very few trials, my dogs have been very successful winning five National Kelpie Champion- ships, Australian championships, as well as around 15 state championships. My dogs compete in Utility Trials, Yard Dog Trials and Three Sheep Dog Trials, being successful in each different form of Trial. First and foremost, my dogs are work dogs and trial dogs second. My work team is my trial team which I think is very important. My wife and I have traveled to the USA and Canada, Scandinavia and Europe conducting clinics as well as doing clinics around Australia. The clinics are a comprehensive method of training dogs from the pup stage to a fully broken in dog. An easy step by step program which builds on a solid foundation.
