Welcome to Shree Chandraprabhu Jain College

The Jain Community of Chennai, with a strong sense of social responsibilityand a passion for service has set up Shree Chandraprabhu Jain College in Minjur in 1997, theGolden Jubilee year of India's Independence.

The College, established by Shree Chandraprabhu Jain Educational Foundationis affiliated to the University of Madras. The College is being managed by the Jain MinorityInstitution within the meaning of Articles 29 and 30 of the Constitution of India.

The College started functioning from Vijayadasami Day on 11.10.1997 and isnow offering 11 U.G Courses, 2 P.G. Courses. From 2002-03, it has become Co-EducationalCollege.

The Management believes that right knowledge is a basic requirement for thepursuit of spiritual aims, Righteous conduct, integration of creed, word and deed and the ultimateemancipation of the soul from the mundane world are also the essential goals for all humanbeings. Besides, we also believe that learning should be a pleasant experience.

The College is situated in an ideal location, far away from the buzzle and din ofthe city, but well within the bounds of Chennai Metro, less than half a kilometer from the MinjurRailway Station.

Our Building complex has a total built-up area of over One lakh Sq.ft. with allfacilities. Our Library has at present a total Collection of over 13,500 books apart from magazinesand journals covering all subjects. Our State of the Art Computer Laboratory is fully Air-conditioned. We also have a standby generator of 125 KVA & another 63.5 KVA Capacity foruninterrupted power supply.

The College provides excellent coaching and training by well qualified, devotedand experienced teaching staff. There are excellent facilities for academic work as well as forGymnastics/Games/Sports and many extra – curricular and co-curricular activities. Specialprovision has been made for Personality Development Programmes like KC, YRC, NSS, Karate,Yoga, Career Oriented Courses, etc, to all interested students. The College also organizes guestlectures, offers Skill development programmes & Certificate / Diploma programmes also offeredto secure employment easily during campus selection.

The Department of Plant Biology & Plant Bio-Technology brought laurels to ourCollege for the thirteenth time by securing University Ranks in 2018.

1. To all Women students concession at the time of admission Rs. 2500 /-

2. To all Students(UG & PG) Merit Concession at the time of admission if marks secured are

65 to 75 % : Rs.750.00 , 76 to 85 % : Rs. 1500.00 , 86 and above : Rs. 3000.00

3. Students who have represented National / State / District level tournaments are given a

Concession of Rs. 5000.00 in the Tuition fees for the first year

4. Southern Railway & State Transport Corporation offer Travel concessions.
