Christmas 2019Discover your country side this Christmas and let us take care of all the details! Enjoy three days at Calcot & Spa—your very own country house retreat—and indulge in whatever you like... wonderful food and drink, sublime spa treatments, fresh air... and celebrate the season with us!

Christmas Eve A very special Calcot Christmas begins on Tuesday 24th December, when we welcome

our guests with tea or coffee, Christmas cake and mince pies in front of our roaring log

fires. Then join us in the drawing room for a pre-dinner glass of fizz followed by dinner

in The Conservatory. Later in the evening, there’ll be a visit by local choristers for a spot

of carol singing. For those wishing to attend Midnight Mass, we can arrange that for

you, followed by warming hot toddy and scrumptious mince pies on your return!

Christmas DayA very Merry Christmas begins with a Champagne breakfast, enjoyed either in The

Conservatory or in the cosy comfort of your bedroom whilst still in your PJs! The spa

will be open between 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Then, let the feasting begin! A fabulous traditional Christmas Lunch will be served from

12 noon until 2:30pm in The Conservatory. Then open a few more presents, take a

cheeky nap or, for those feeling a little more energetic, we can recommend some lovely

walks to revive your appetite for the evening... an informal candle-lit buffet served in

our very own pub, The Gumstool Inn.

Boxing DayDo as much (or as little!) as you like on Boxing Day, whether it’s a lazy lie-in, a visit to

the spa or, if you feel like going out to play, a clay-pigeon shoot in our grounds (ask the

reception team for details). We’ve 220 acres of gorgeous grounds to explore and can

point you in the direction of some idyllic Cotswold villages and walks, including the

magical Westonbirt Arboretum, just 10 minutes away. There are also some first-class

watering holes in the area. Our very own Village Pub at Barnsley, near Cirencester is

highly recommended... even if we do say so ourselves!

Your final evening with us begins in style, with a Champagne reception followed by

dinner with some specially selected wines.

Lunch will be available in The Gumstool Inn and The Conservatory Restaurant on Boxing Day, but this is not included in the price of the break. Guests are advised to reserve a table in advance.

Christmas Programme 2019

Christmas Tariff 2019 Prices are based on double occupancy for the Christmas programme, arriving on the

24th December and departing after breakfast on the 27th December. They include

three nights’ accommodation, full English breakfast each morning, dinner as described

in the package, lunch on Christmas Day, plus service and VAT.

New Year 2019At Calcot, New Year is a relaxed country house party with fine food, Champagne and excellent wines. Dance the night away, relax at the spa, curl up by the fire, or explore the countryside. Come and welcome the New Year with something for everyone. We do hope you can join us!

Saturday 30th December Guests arriving throughout the day will be welcomed with a delicious Afternoon Tea

served in front of our crackling log fires. Relax in the lounges, curl up in your room,

take a walk in our gorgeous grounds or visit the spa for a pre-party treatment or two.

(Pre-booking essential, call the spa team for detail 01666 891 232). Dinner will be a

relaxed affair in The Conservatory, allowing guests to unwind before the celebrations

the following day.

New Year’s Eve

Our New Year’s Eve shindig begins with a Champagne reception at 7:30pm in our

fabulous new gathering space, The Barn, followed by a dinner at 8.15pm. After the

feasting, you’re invited downstairs where you can show off your best moves dancing

to our live band!

We’ve also bought a bit of Vegas to Calcot, so try your luck on the tables in our in-house

casino, especially created for the evening! The casino is just for fun only, so no money is

needed, as we’ll supply a number of chips to each guest.

At the stroke of midnight, we’ll crack open some more Champagne, sing a bit of Auld

Lang Syne, kiss our nearest and dearest… and continue to boogie until 1:00am!

New Year’s DayEnjoy breakfast in The Conservatory or in your room if you fancy a lie-in after the

previous night’s festivities! Then, if you’re up for a dose of fresh air and would like some

pointers on the many great walks in the area or places to visit open on New Year’s Day,

please just ask the reception team. For the less energetic, we suggest visiting the spa,

or perhaps curling up with a good book in front of the fire in our lounges.

As both The Conservatory and The Gumstool restaurants will be busy for lunch, we

recommend booking your table in advance.

Dinner will be served in The Conservatory, the perfect way to round off a memorable

New Year stay with us.

on New Year’s Eve (including selected wines to accompany each course) and dinner in

The Conservatory Restaurant on the other two evenings. They also include use of the

spa facilities, early morning tea/coffee, a daily newspaper, plus service and VAT.

TWO NIGHTS THREE NIGHTS

Calcot Spa

Our spa is an oasis of relaxation and tranquility, situated in a quiet corner of the

grounds near to the main house. The focal point is a stunning outdoor hot tub and

open fireplace in the lavendar-lined courtyard. The spa offers a 16m indoor pool,

state-of-the-art gymnasium, sauna, steam room and treatment rooms. The team

are exceptional and will take great care of you, ensuring you have a wonderful time.

The spa will be open from 9:00am until 6:00pm on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day

and from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Christmas Day. On 30th December, the spa is

open from 7:00am until 9:00pm, and 9:00am until 6:00pm on New Year’s Eve and

New Year’s Day.

It’s essential to pre-book spa treatments prior to your stay, so please call the team

on 01666 891 232 for the full treatment menu, designed to relax and rejuvenate.

For the Children

Childrens’ swimming times at the spa for Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s

Eve and New Year’s Day are 9:00 am to 10.30am. Christmas Day swimming is

from10:00am to 1:00pm.

The Play Barn, located in a converted barn in the courtyard of the hotel, welcomes

children from newborn to 16 years. It’s packed with toys and games, with qualified

nannies on hand to entertain your children whilst you relax elsewhere in the grounds.

The Mez (the mezzanine floor) includes a cinema and is complete with Playstations,

Xboxes and computers... and is the perfect hang out space for older children! It’s

unsupervised, so is only suitable for children over 8 years. The Play Barn is open on

Christmas Day 10:00am to 1.00pm and Boxing Day 10:00am to 3:00 pm. Please note

that it’s essential to pre-book children into The Play Barn to avoid disappointment.
