Dan Dickau - All-AmericanDan Dickau set America on fire in 2001-02 as theGonzaga University senior became the Bulldogs firstfirst-team Associated Press All-America selection.Dickau helped guide the small Spokane school to aNo. 6 national ranking and school record 29 victories.

Dickau was Gonzaga’s third John R. Wooden AwardPlayer of the Year candidate and the first WoodenAward Top Five All-American. Dickau was also afinalist for the James Naismith Player of the YearAward as he earned West Coast Conference Player ofthe Year honors. He was then selected with the finalpick of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, who in turn traded his rights to the Atlanta Hawks.

Dickau continued the long tradition of excellentguard play at Gonzaga, but at the same time put hisown unique stamp on the position. He wore No. 21at Gonzaga because the No. 12 worn by his idol JohnStockton has not been available at Gonzaga sinceStockton finished playing in 1984.

Dickau finished his 2-year Gonzaga career rankingfourth on the career 3-pointers list, sixth on thecareer assists chart and 16th in career scoring with1,125 points.
