Plastic Beach is an album

released by the band Gorillaz

was created in 1998 The “virtual

Band” consists of four animated

members that are involved in a

fictional universe showed in the

band’s music videos.

The album cover shows an

island with various features

such as a lighthouse, plam

trees and a large building at

the top of the hill.

The font of the writing

has been chosen to

suit the theme of the

beach and sea as it is

wavy.

The advert has been made to get straight to the

point by simply showing their album cover and

telling readers that it is out now.

The Island shown on the

album cover is seen in the

mucisc video made for the

song Melancholy Hill, seen by

three of the animated

characters in the music video.

The font used on the

album cover and advert is

a wavy, which links in

with the idea of nautical

theme as a beach is near

the sea, and the sea is in

the action shot of the

album cover. At the

bottom of the advert, the

slogan “Explore the

links in with the fact that

the “Plastic Beach” is an

weird place and unknown

to mankind which holds

mystery.

I know that on the new world

tour which Gorillaz are

performing on, it is all based

around nautical, sailing and

boats, which again obviously

links in with the nautical scene

of the “Plastic Beach”.
