Eligibility

(a) Levy-paying ContractorsLevy-paying contractors which have paid levy for construction works under the Construction Industry Council Ordinance (Cap. 587) to the CIC in the 24 months preceding the time of application.

(b) Registered SubcontractorsSubcontractors which are registered and hold a valid registration under the Subcontractor Registration Scheme operated by the CIC at the time of application.

(c) ConsultantsConsultants which are listed on

- The Engineering and Associated Consultants Selection Board- The Architectural and Associated Consultants Selection Board- The Band 3 Architectural Consultants and the list of Registered Practices maintained by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects- The Band 3 Architectural Consultants maintained by the Association of Architectural Practices Ltd- Member companies of the Association of Consultant Quantity Surveyors- Member companies of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors- Member companies of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong- member companies of the Association of Registered Engineering Consultants

For related enterprises i.e. enterprises with different business registration certificates but having the same individual(s) holding 30% or more ownership, they would be treated as one single enterprise in counting the funding ceiling per company.

Reimbursable Costs for BIM Training

(i) Event venue and set up cost;

(ii) Cost of procuring or leasing of additional equipment for implementing the training (Applicants are encouraged to use their existing equipment or to lease additional equipment to the extent possible, rather than to purchase new equipment); and

(iii) Salary (including employer’s contributions to the Mandatory Provident Fund) of additional manpower directly incurred for the implementation of the training

Disbursement of the Funding (2 instalments)- 1st instalment (up to 80% of the approved funding) upon provision of documentary proof- 2nd instalment after 12 months of technology adoption of the first instalment.

Reimbursable Costs for Manpower Development (Local Courses or Conferences)

(i) Event venue and set up cost;

(ii) Cost of procuring or leasing of additional equipment for implementing the programme (Applicants are encouraged to use their existing equipment or to lease additional equipment to the extent possible, rather than to purchase new equipment);

(iii) Salary (including employer’s contributions to the Mandatory Provident Fund) of additional manpower directly incurred for the project;

(iv) Travel and accommodation cost for overseas speakers travelling to Hong Kong to conduct seminars and/or other individuals approved by the CITF. Honorarium for speakers are not included. For flight charges, normally only cost of economy class fare is covered; and

(v) External audit fees relating to the programme and arising from compliance with the requirements of the CITF.

Disbursement of the Funding- Reimbursement basis within 2 years to approval of application (subject to prior approval up to the specified ceilings)- For local courses or conferences, payments on an instalment basis may also be allowed subject to proof of payments.

All disbursements will only be paid upon fulfillment of the Terms and Conditions.

Reindustrialisation and Technology Training Programme


▪ RTTP Course Application_ACID

Course providers with two or more years of relevant experience in the provision of technology training may submit applications to register their public courses under the RTTP.

How:- public courses (Form 1)- tailor-made courses (Form 2B) submitted by the concerned company together with the training grant application- submit to the Secretariat (in person, by post, by fax or by email) at least 8 weeks before course commencement.

Knowledgement receipt will be sent to the course provider within 7 working days.

Follow-up site visits may be carried out by the Secretariat to the course provider after the application.

In publicising registered public courses, the following wordings may be used in the description of such courses:“The course has been included in the list of registered public courses under the Reindustrialisation and Technology Training Programme.”

Course provider should clearly indicate the amount of course fee, but should not indicate the amount or percentage of training grant in their promotional materials.

Course providers are allowed to re-run registered public courses within 12 months after the indicated commencement date in their application, provided that the course contents are substantially identical. Course providers are required to give prior notification to the Secretariat of the commencement date of re-run courses.

After course- provide “Confirmation of Completion of Training and Payment of Course Fee” (Form 4A) to the company within one month after course completion- provide attendance list (“completion of training”, we refer to an attendance of no less than 70% of the training hours for the course)

- Maintain proper documentation (including but not limited to complete and accurate records of attendance, assessment and payment of course fees) for 7 years for the Secretariat’s checking upon request and ensure that public courses are conducted in compliance with the proposals accepted.

▪ RTTP Course Application_Client

Eligibility

A company is eligible to apply for training grant for its employee(s) if: - it is registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310);- it must be a non-government and non-subvented organization; and- the employee nominated receiving training is a Hong Kong permanent resident with the necessary background / experience relevant to the advanced technology of the training course.

Funding CeilingEach company is subject to a funding ceiling of HK$500,000 in each financial year.

Training Grant- complete the Form 2A (Public Course)/ Form 2B (Tailor-made course) (8 weeks before course commencement)- submit to the Secretariat (in person, by post, by fax or by email)- Supporting documents (i.e. copy of the Business Registration Certificate and copy of HKID for each employee applying the training grant) at least 2 weeks before course commencement.

Rimbursement- submit the claim form - supporting documents (e.g. confirmation of training completion and payment, receipt of subsistence allowance, original of the return passage boarding pass/ticket and certified true copy of the receipt (if applicable) etc.) to the Secretariat within two months after course completion.
