A free Google tool that allows you to see what Google thinks of your site; whether there are penalties, how many pages it can see and
who is linking to you - you can also submit a sitemap here and request removal of any penalties too
GA Google Analytics
A free Google tool that allows you to see who is visiting your site, where they came from, how long they stayed on for and which pages
they visited…everything you can possibly imagine, this is the ultimate tracking tool
Meta Data Meta DataThis is the title and description that shows up when you see a site on
Google; the small snippet of information that you read before you click to get taken to the site
Bounce Rate NAThis is when someone visits a page on your website then clicks their
back button, ie they don't travel to other pages
Ping Back NAWhen someone lands on a page of your website then immediately
leaves again, staying on for perhaps less than 1 second and not engaging at all
Channel NAThe way people find your website, ie the channel is Facebook, or
Google or a third party website as that is the path users find you by
White Hat NAThe process of optimising a website that is all above board and in
accordance with Google's guidelines

Optimising a website so it shows up high in the SERPs for your local area, ie optimising a website for the London area so it shows up high

UI User InterfaceHow your website looks and how easy it is to navigate around, the

UV Unique VisitorIf someone visits your website more than once, the unique visitor
count will only count them once; the number of people that visit your site, not the number of times they visit

This Google algorithm let Google know what websites were trying to unfairly climb the ranks of Google by
publishing lots and lots of the same content - it could then penalise them appropriately

This Google algorithm let Google know what websites were trying to unfairly climb the ranks of Google by
putting links to their website on other cheap websites, it could then penalise them appropriately
Google CaffeineChange to Indexing from
Caffeine was released by Google and was an update that revamped the way they indexed web pages to make them
faster to return search results
Google Venice Type of AlgorithmThis Google algorithm helped Google to return local
searches, more accurately ie if you're in London it would return results relevant to London
