What are sports Injuries?
“Sports Injuries” are Injuries that occur during playing or exercising.
These injuries may occur due to improper gear or improper practices/trainings.
Some Sports Injuries
• Sprains and strains.
• Knee injuries.
• Swollen muscles.
• Achilles tendon injuries.
• Pain along the shin
bone.

Acute Injuries
Acute injuries are injuries that occur
during:
Exercising
Playing a Sport
Working
They are actually caused by an
external source
Acute Injuries Symptoms:• Strain and sprains.• Knee or elbow injuries.• Muscular swelling.• Achilles tendon
injuries.• Shin bone pain.• Fractures.• Dis-locations.
Chronic InjuriesChronic injuries are also called Overuse injuries. They occur due to the over-use
of a certain part/area of the body. Examples:
running,
overhand throwing
serving in tennis
REMEDIES OR TREATMENT FOR ACUTE INJURIES
Remedies/ TreatmentsTrying to work through the injury is a
stupid thing to do. It will be much more harmful.

• Stop Exercising!

Some injuries can be self-treated but some injury cases should be seen by
a Doctor.

Putting weight over the injured area
causes pain.
Pain or swelling in an old injury.
Feeling pain, instability or abnormality
in the joint.
Self-treatable cases
Cases other than those which require doctor’s attention can

How to prevent Sports Injuries!
Prevention Tips• Make sure you are in good shape to
play or to exercise.
• Do proper stretching
• Take care of your muscles while
working out.• Bending and jumping technique
should always be proper.

• Always take security measures.• Avoid playing, exercising or working
when you are injured.

• Always do warm up exercises before playing or exercising .
• Everything has a limit, keep that in mind. Don’t push
yourself too far.
